It appears all this time most people's games crash rather then return to the game lobby after Islander's Credits.

This is very reproduceable. I'd be surprised if more than 1 in 10 people didn't crash.

I have rebuilt the lobby from scratch twice, so there is no corruption excuse.
I have also tried using standard attempt area transition, singleparytransition, other variants.

I made sure the PC has ample room in the landing.
I have even despawned the party first so that only the PC has to make it there.

So basically at this point, what the hell? Why is this even an issue? if there is a law against going from a cutscene to a transition I've been sucessfully doing it until this last part of the campaign.

If you assign an action that involve the player with a NPC that isn't in the same area, it crash. (a conversation for exemple.)

2da conflict is also a possible crash reason. Basically if you use no standard 2da, be sure to link them with a hak to your module. So they won't fetch "default"  2da that might conflict from override or oginal data folders.

2Da in override is a dangerous thing.

It would really help here if, when reporting a crash problem, whether you can say:

1) Is it the client or server that crashes?
2) The error log is generally necessary to understand what caused the crash. Repeating from my last post,

If the client or server is crashing out, see if you can get the "nwn2_errorlog.txt" or "nwn2_servererrorlog.txt" (as appropriate) from your NWN2 game installation directory. Post or PM it to me, as that may contain valuable information useful to understand why the game might have been crashing.

Did you try with an empty area ? a "green room" that share the same 2da as the others area ?

If it's still crash it may be beceause of the way you call the transition. If it's not the area where you arrive, it's the area where you come from.

I try to check these forums each day or two, but work and other time constraints sometimes conspire to delay responses.

Here, we crashed trying to look up the TileSetID for a tile in the tiles 2da. Perhaps one of the tiles or tilesets in your area has a bad 2DA reference for your module?

Have you modifed TextureTilesCeiling.2da/TextureTilesFloor.2da/TextureTilesWall.2da? Are they actually in sync with all of the tilesets that you have available and in use in your module?

the only 2da of note is the rws ones. They are in their own hak tho (the 2das) so I guess I have to remove or add something.

ya there is a 2dahak for the rws set in on module, but i dont use it for t his one.

Did not find any other tiles 2da. I did find a second placeables.2da that was different, one was in Islander.Hak and one in RWS_Cliffs.hak. I removed the cliffs one and everything seems to still work in game, but the lobby still crashed on the second try. That is my update so far.

I erased the custom items in that room from Islander.hak and it loaded 7 out of 7 times. So this is going on the vault now. A little concerned there is tileset messages when the issue was placeables......
