I found them to be intriguing. One of the better demons to look at while fighting

The idea intrigued me, but it lost all nuance when a 'desire' demon decided to show itself as something that doesn't appeal to me at all.

Note to desire demons: next time show up as Hugh Jackman, and then maybe we'll talk.

Desire demons, according to the codex, can be reasoned with and are "missunderstood" to some degree. One in particular seemed genuinely  attached to one particular templar if memory serves right and in an alternative reality Herrin himself is a Desire Demon apparently bonded to Wade. A romantic interlude with a desire demon would have a lot of potential in my mind....the exploration of the recesses in which lust bleeds into a real roamantic sentiment and where one finds out who is actually enslaved to whom in that relationship

Right, boobs = sh*t because you don't get off to them. It must be quite liberating to shut down your brain and evaluate everything with your penis.

It's more my eyes that were offended really. It's not about getting off or not, it's about looking on something that's supposed to be the embodiment of desire and finding it repugnant and unappealing.

I'd be glad to see it. The article I showed was from 2008, so it'd be interesting to see what made him think so negatively of steam. Perhaps he was referring to DRM in general? That seems to be more along the companies line of thought.

And about the cards, yah they were silly and the Devs agree. That's why they aren't in The Witcher 2. Still, it was an experiment, even if it wasn't a good one it's far more interesting and unique then granny panties or a fully clothed sex scene. They started there, saw what parts of that worked and what didn't and now appear to have refined it for the sequel.
