The epilogue slides are hardly canon.

According to the slides, Loghain becomes a major recruiter for Ferelden Wardens, but Awakening sends him to Orlais. Zevran/Leliana as a love interest are never suppose to leave the Warden, but they do for Awakening and DLC.

David Gaider said they will bring people back alive especially when it was only an epilogue slide that stated they died. That tells you just how seriously Bioware takes those slides.

If you spared Loghain, did the dark ritual, and married Anora then you get a visit from Loghain in Awakenings which I thought answered some of the questions in this thread. To me it appeared that Anora has grown to love the warden and didn't want him to leave for Vigil's Keep. The warden expresses he misses war and finds any reason to jump back into the action. Then there is talk of not having an heir. It doesn't sound like things are all roses back in the castle but it is the warden who is withdrawing and not Anora being cold that drives him off.

Just throwin' it out there, but on one of my Queen Cousland runs, I got a really, really buggy ending. Obviously, I opted for the Queen option, and the slide show displayed the Mistress option. I thought.. Okay.. Ignore that. >_>.

Then, in Awakenings, I got the royal greeting. I thought, yaaay! Everythings all right! Then Alistair, the pillock, said something like 'Anyway, I best get back before Queen Anora starts to complain'. I was like, dude.. that's not okay. :/. I nae approve of polygamy.

So yeah.. >.>. Bugs are odd.

Wow, I have never gotten these bugs but my best ending is Anora as sole ruler and Alistair stays as a GW with my warden. Happy endings all around.

*scratches head*  That's not how I interpret Loghain's statements at all.  Rather, that Anora got her way by having her consort leave court.  He's probably joking, but maybe only half joking.  We know Anora hates to share power.

Thanks for all the help, everyone! :) It kind of sucks that the epilogue cards are so erroneous, but I'm glad I'm not that only one who's experienced the problem. Also glad to know it won't effect my Awakenings play-through!

I think it's not a matter of whom you like more, but who would make a better ruler. Ferelden had been stable before the blight -- no warring factions, good diplomatic relations with other countries... Anora was a good ruler. I think pairing her with Alistair makes for a good kingdom as he is more compassionate towards the people (even hardened he gets to know his subjects personally) whereas Anora can run the country well.

Best pairing, I hate to say, is Anora + HNM. Alistair + HNF seems to be a feel good, but I don't get a sense that Ferelden is run well, just that Alistair knows his people and either everyone knows how much he adores his bride or everyeone sees his wife as their savior and ruler and love her.

I agree about Anora and Alistair, I think that the pairing between Anora and Alistair is very good. Alone, Anora will refill the royal coffers and build a university in what's basically medieval times, while Alistair will give the elves a seat in the royal court (which is unpredecented). I think a personality hardened Alistair as King with Anora as the Queen is the best outcome.

Going from the WH map, it seems that what will end up giving the most stability to Ferelden is destroying both Redcliff and sending Eamon back there.

Because of Eamon's apparent grap for power if Redcliffe is saved?
