If I may use a Mass Effect reference, Talimancers everywhere wouldn't exist if Bioware didn't "double-dip" onto their companions. I recognize this is different, as Hawke isn't the Warden. At least this isn't Oghren again. Anders was likable.

It doesn't matter. The writers mentioned several times that if they wanted to bring someone back, they would, dead or not in your ending version. 

How do you explain how a dead Mage suddenly came back alive?  It was the Lazarus Project wasn't it.

I don't have to explain anything, I'm not the one writing this game. I'm just glad he's back.

I feel like this about Isabella.  I think I would agree completely if it were anyone other than Anders.  I loved Anders and am glad to romance his pants off have him back as a companion.

How do you figure?  If your Warden's leadership is important to his narrative, why not simply assume Anders left for other reasons?

...it's what I'd do. 

I'm not Sylvius?  If the game tells me he left the Wardens, my Warden was a crappy leader by not being able to keep him among them?

Unless the game has him a Krikwall Warden liaison or something, my Warden was a **** leader.

They did with the epilogue. Even he is afflicted with the taint Wardens can live up to 20+ years.

Who's to say he wasn't stationed in Kirkwall as a warden? There's no reason to assume your warden was bad at his job. Duncan was stationed in Ferelden from Orlais, Riordan was stationed in Orlais from Ferelden - really, it looks as though wardens move around quite a lot. Don't assume the reason he left until you find it out!

Yes, but i rather like having a male mage companion. I'll probably leave Merril back at her place, and possibly Beth too if she isnt written right. Maybe im not a fan of female mages unless Im playing them or they;re like Morrigan. Wynne got on my nerves.
