Alistair quit the Wardens to become king if you made him one. And The Warden can leave after killing the Archdemon. Sure, they're still tainted, but that doesn't stop them.

Having Anders mysteriously resurrected after Awakening games where he dies in the epilogue at least makes a whole more sense than having Oghren come back in games where the Warden kills him in Origins.



Anders not only has good reason to want to pretend to be dead, he's also a spirit healer, the people in Thedas most likely to mysteriously return from the brink of death.

Don't start whining we don't know if our imports affect who or what is included. Anders may simply not be there. Its not like Game Informers or reviewers were playing with their save from the original.

Not that it's a surprise at all, but Anders was quite pleasant, so I'm fine. Having some continuity (in any form or shape) between the games is a plus in my book.

My Anders was apparantly in love with my warden who was married to Alister (not sure how, probably a bug in the affection meter). Im going to assume Anders left because he didnt want to be around her anymore because of this.

Bioware also usaully gives you a choice to recruite them which means you dont have to recruit Anders

Well fair enough.  I think I will use him sparingly unless he really grows on me.  Lord knows I like Oghren in Awakenings even less than in the original.  (Of course, Oghren was probably my least favorite character.  Sure, most playthroughs I hated Morrigan, but that was an indication that she was well written as a hateful person. )

Of course, he's probably a FemHawke romance option.  I'll have to see if he's charming enough to make me reconsider leaving him at home.

Anyway, seeing the fan glee, I am glad for the fanboys/girls at least.  And I did like Sir Pouncealot.  Unless magic has been really reduced in relative power, I'll probably stick with only one mage in the party most of the time anyway, in interests of not making the game a snorefest.

Party on fans.  I will dream of Isabella's ample assets rather than Ander's boyish charm.
