Duncan was awesome and Alistair and Morrigan were my two favourite partyable characters. I haven't actually played Awakening yet, but I know alot of people are fond of him. So if he's got the traits of Morrigan and Alistair as well, I guess im on board with this! ^_~

Having Anders mysteriously resurrected after Awakening games where he dies in the epilogue at least makes a whole more sense than having Oghren come back in games where the Warden kills him in Origins.

Anders not only has good reason to want to pretend to be dead, he's also a spirit healer, the people in Thedas most likely to mysteriously return from the brink of death.

I think you'r right. He may have a spirit in him or something.
And as it goes:

1. Anders only died in ONE of the Epilogues.
2. Oghren returned in Awakening but could be killed in Origins.
3. The Warden can return in Awakening even if he died in Origins.
4. Anders was probobly always planed to be a companion in Awakening since they said that Awakening would bridge Origins with Dragon Age II and that atleast 1 character would yhave a big part in DA2 so the "death" was just put in for fun.
5. It's a game, talking place in a magical world.

I didn't think that the original picture that started the speculation looked that much like Anders--softer, rounder features (but then all the faces are fairly soft and round looking)--but it didn't look that much NOT like Anders, either. If Anders is in the game, it kind of relieves my mind just a little about what Alistair might look like with the new graphics style. I was dreading that. I think we can be assured that he'll look somewhat like himself, if rough around the edges, as exiled Alistair. Isabella looks so different, I wasn't assuming that at all.

He's more like Zevran.
