Well, no Alistair type romance can mean many things. Sharing a similar personality doesn't mean sharing a similar romance. Alistair was shy, highly romantic, a gentleman, and a virgin. Anders is very flirtatious and not virginal.

In any case, I don't think they said that.

?? Alistair was a virgin & heir to the throne who could be in love with a woman who he would not be able to have children with, and probably not even marry. Anders is, from what we get from Awakening, a bit of a womanizer and probably free of any pressures when it comes to who he should and should not be with. His romance, if he's an LI, is probably very different from Alistair's.

Click on the op's link (which is to a message board thread),   a few posts down on that thread there's a post containing 2 links.  Click on them to see the scans.

Ok this makes no sense for people who played Awakening. What if he died? What if we gave him to the templers? In my ending he goes back to the circle then back to the keep to help the Warden. Sorry but all of this makes it imposable for Anders to be a party companion unless Bioware is doing a huge retcon which means whatever we did does not matter -___-

Also, the thing that really defines Alistair is his willingness to put what he believes to be his duty and the honorable choice above his own desires, even when it's to his detriment. That's not Anders. They have a similar sense of humor and inate decency, but they're really very different people.

^unless, of course, we meet him Before he goes to Vigil's keep. which is a possibility, considering the fact that the GI article says we come across anders early into the game

Regardless, not all the Awakening  epilogues  see him dead or in templar captivity.

it's said that you can flirt with seb, not that he's necessarilly a LI

SO we have Anders for half a year before he leaves? I doubt that. Bioware did a retcon.

I like Anders, don't get me wrong but.....

BW has stated that they are willing to bring a companion back regardless of what happens in the epilogues. Discounting those, the biggest concern  would be if he wasn't conscripted in Awakening, but that's easy to change/cover with dialogue. For example, he escaped again and joined the Wardens in another country.

It's not a huge retcon if it doesn't change what happened in the game. Epilogues aren't in the game.
