I'm trying to give them the benefit of reserving judgment until I actually play the game and see how I like the characters then.

But it just seems annoying with 3+ returning characters as companions, they seem to be ones I didn't particularly like in their original forms. Though again, I'll wait until I've played the game

Just woulda been awesome if it had of been 3 characters I really liked returning like Leli, Alistair and Morrigan

Really? Plenty of people who liked Oghren in Origins reformed their opinions in Awakening. Plenty of people disliked Zevran or Morrigan upon first meeting them and never explored them further in their first game, but had a change of heart on a second playthrough. I'm sorry if your opinion is fixed on a character forever and always, but this is a chance for a possible reboot with more depth and all I can suggest is at least giving it a chance.

That's forming a different opinion about the same character. Not a new opinion.

Summon Justice? He's trapped on the mortal plane, Anders or Nathaniel asks him what he will do once Kristoff's body is too decomposed to inhabit and he didn't know. He didn't like the idea of inhabiting another body by choice, it's more then possible Anders offered him room and board, so to speak... /grin ..

Justice expresses irritation at Anders for not doing more to help other mages find the freedom he now enjoys. I sorta wonder if he doesn't take up the cause himself, only *through* Anders.

Woah, why isn't the dialogue synced properly in that video? One line is coming out of Varric's mouth that sounds like it should be Hawke's. Or Ander's.

Oh. Anders was my least favorite character from Awakenings (next to Oghren x_x) so I'm not particularly thrilled. People have been finding hints that was him, though, so it's not too surprising. I'll give him another shot, anyways, especially since the spoiler bit sounds interesting.

Yeah I'm 0 for 4 in agreeing with the writers about who would be appealing to bring back- including Oghren in there.  But, logically I can see where Anders' character would fit so, whatever tickles their nug.  That Fenris dude had just better be hot stuff.

except comic relief is vital to any drama. Otherwise you get so down and depressed you cant actually enjoy the story. To fully feel any emotion, you need to also feel a contrasting emotion. So, YAY Anders!

I disagree, one can enjoy a tragedy for the tension of it without having to bring in comic relief.

But then again, whatever float your boat. I'm not gonna tell people what they are suppose to be feeling and neither should anyone else.

I hope he stays as a companion for a majority of the game. His dialogue made him a staple in my party.

He didn't have much character beyond the comic relief. Compare with Oghren or Alistair in Origins.

This may very well have been due to the shortness of the game and all that, so I remain hopeful.
