Easily explained.

Kristoff = Warrior
Anders= Spirit Healer Mage.

Anders has been supported by Spirits for a while now. It's easily understandable for him to have more benefits of being possessed post mortem by a spirit than Kristoff had.

I'll admit, best explanation I've heard so far.

Not sure it works that way, though.  Not sure it doesn't, either.  Is every Spirit Healer possessed by a spirit?  Wynne is, but if I give that specialization to Morrigan, does it work the same for her?  For Velanna?  For a mage Warden?

It's promising, I give you that.  Need more detail, though (and no, I'm not expecting you to supply it Posted Image ).  I expect to have it explained in game, not just . .you know, ignored.

It all depends on whether Justice got into Anders before he died or not. And considering he only ACTUALLY died in one little teeny epilogue slide (even if he got taken away by the Templars you didn't see him die) I think he is almost certainly alive.

Ser Pounce had better be back. Anders got possessed by a spirit, he's going to need a kitten to cuddle after that.

Until
you see the official reveal, don't assume that Anders is what you think
he is-- or that he's the same person from DAO:A. People change.

Subtle hint about his sexuality? Haha jk. Well, actually only half kidding.

No offense David, but we see this a lot from you (and the other devs).  First you tell us not to make assumptions,  but then you  turn around and make a statement  like the one we see above....   which is very specifically designed to generate mass speculation and assumption.

Justice is possessing Anders? Where did this morsel of information come from?

A Spirit of Justice, not necessarily the one we know. From Game Informer.

Although I hope - justice was my fav DAO:A character Posted Image

And Anders was my favorite, this way we get the best of both worlds

Fair point, and I'm fine with it.

But . . . .I want to have an explanation as to how/why it happened.  After all, those spirits of justice are benevolent folks, not known for possessing people normally - per Justice, who should know.  So, why this spirit, why Anders, did Anders agree, and if so, why?

I want to KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Posted Image

Anyone thinking threesome if he is a LI ;D
Lol I loved both Anders and Justice

Well lets hope the love affair happens in the first act of the game. With a 10 year span of time jumps, ole J/Anders will be getting a little sunken eyed and ripe if he was reanimated by Justice's spirit. What a strange love interest anyway, a being with a singular goal of the virtue of justice, inhabiting a flamboyant playboy personality. Would they sort of cancel each other out, and just be a sort of boring zombie with above average grooming practices? :)

KInda hoping it is just Anders, wasn't a huge fan, but I liked his banter, and enjoyed using him as my parties mage.

In the words of Kurt Vonnegut on writing: "Be a Sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them-in order that the reader may see what they are made of."

In Awakenings, Anders always seemed like a character who could use a wakeup call - something really awful to happen and show him life can't be so simple.

Thank you, Mr. Gaider and writing team, for giving us the chance to see what Anders is really worth.

In the conversations you can have with Justice in Awakenings Nathaniel goes into quite a bit of detail about whether Justice would ever inhabit someone still alive:

(these are taken from the DA Wiki)

* Nathaniel: Will you ever need to switch bodies, Justice?

* Justice: I did not even wish to possess this one. Why would I switch to another?

* Nathaniel: You might need to. Unless you wish to look even more obviously like a corpse.

* Justice: I...would prefer not to think of it.

───────

* Justice: This... thing you spoke of. Switching bodies.

* Nathaniel: Not a favorite topic of yours, I take it?

* Justice: Would such a thing be permitted? Would it not be considered... abominable?

* Nathaniel: If they're dead, it's not as if they need the body, Justice.

* Justice: But I can still feel the man who once lived. I know his body, his... It is not just a body.

* Nathaniel: That's...good, isn't it? I'd rather you felt that way.

* Justice: Perhaps you are right.

───────

* Nathaniel: What if you found a living body to possess?

* Justice: Even if I knew how, I would not possess the living. Such is an act for demons.

* Nathaniel: What if the person were willing?

* Justice: Why would a mortal ever allow such a thing?

* Nathaniel: For life. For love. Perhaps together, you can do what they cannot do alone. If you gave instead of taking, I would consider you no demon.

* Justice: It is...something to consider. Thank you, Nathaniel.

Unsurprising news is unsurprising. But I do like the idea that Anders is "different" somehow. ♥

In the article it says that the amulet you deliver to the dalish clan has significance and that you must perform a ritual.. and it says what the ritual leads to the first plot twist of DA2... interesting!
