Ugh.  Anything but the cat.  I know it makes me a bad, bad person but I could put up with Anders a lot more easily when he wasn't going on and on about his furball.

I agree wholeheartedly. I don't hate cats or kittens, but they are so overrated some times (just like waffles). Puppies/dogs are so much better.

I think my ideal ending to this possession debacle would be Justice leaving Anders behind (alive) at the end of DA2 and possessing Ser Pounce instead.

This comment alone sends my mind into chaos theories.

You make it hard to sleep at night Mr Gaider, and I've seen two out of four types of broodmothers.

Possible Anders fates I can think of:

1) Killed by the Templars, got possessed by a Spirit of Justice and escaped to Kirkwall.
2) Possessed by a SoJ before Templar death, broke free and escaped to Kirkwall.
3) Died fighting at Vigil's Keep, possessed, then went to Kirkwall.
4) Died as a Warden post-Awakening, possessed, etc.
5) Left Wardens, got possessed, and went to Kirkwall.
6) Left Wardens, went to Kirkwall, then got possessed.
7) Never a Warden; either 5 or 6 otherwise. (possible non-Awakening import)

 Yay for Anders! I've always hoped he was MMG.  I'm intrigued by the little twist.  I just hope there's enough of the funny Anders in Awakening.  I like Justice and all, but for me Anders is a bit more entertaining.

No offense to anyone in here but I would rather none of the male romance options for Female Hawke were bi, haha. Although I know that will never happen. Everyone is saying Fenris seems more likely but I don't get that vibe from him. That could not possibly have been summed up more accurately.

I was quite literally giddy with the Anders reveal, I was bouncing in my seat. I wish the possession info could have been hidden until the official reveal, then I could have been blissfully ignorant just for a while longer.

I shrieked so loudly that I woke up both my kids from their naps. Then I spent my entire Japanese class arguing with myself about whether or not Anders was Anders and OMG-What-if-I-have-to-romance-Justice!?!!111

rofl! I went to the grocery store with my mother directly afterwards and she had to endure the entire car ride there and back with me ranting about possible changes and worst-case-scenarios. I don't remember everything I rambled on about, but I do remember saying, "You don't take the character who everyone loved for his personality and then bring him back with a different personality! You don't do that! Why would you do that??"

Luckily she's already well used to me rambling about various DA2-related things.

If I'm reading those spoilers correctly and he becomes possessed during the events of DA2, then at least at the start of the game we'll have regular Anders around, even if we're unsure of what will become of him later. That's a comfort, at least.
