Keeps people who hated Anders happy.
Also could make for some very funny moments.

One thing that did occur to me was that if the spirit possessing Anders is THE Justice - it would give the writers a way to give him the Grey Warden abilities without him actually taking the joining. After all, he previously possessed a Warden, and he seemed to retain memories or at least be very interested in his former identity. I'd guess that when he moves on that he retains the Warden-sense and passes it on to Anders. A neat trick that ties up any loose ends about his abilities.
Just a theory of course.

EDIT: When they mentioned about him getting possessed from the Spirit of Justice we don't know for sure it means the character Justice or not but it's likely especially since it's been capitalized and everything.
Maybe it's a double personality thing and sometimes Justice is talking sometimes Anders is?

Anders: likable guy, great concept.... would've liked to talk to him at length, rather than having to search for diolog prompts.
Justice: a one note badass, when I first saw his trailer, I got a bit of a chill. he seemed the only character to realize what being a hero means " These Darkspawn are a cancer in the heart of this world, A world so full of beauty that beauty goes overlooked".
So I get snarky Humor AND heroic Poetry ?
I was a little concerned when Anders Was Rumored to be the 6th companion... but with this new shift in his story... Colour me Excited.

I actually think it would have been better if his cat was possessed by Justice instead.

This may be a dumb question but I will ask anyway. In DAA I did not take Anders with me in the final battle now that I see he is in DA2. I am wondering its safe to assume our party (who lives) knows the choices we made in that final battle whether they were there with us or not, like for me I chose to let the Archetic go I am wondering if Anders knows that even tho he wasnt there? of course it may not matter because who knows if anything Archetic related will be in DA2 just something I am wondering?
Did he survive? If he did, I assume the Warden and those who fought with him would have filled him in when they returned.

Well, the article confirms my Warden wasn't the best Warden Commander.
Oh well. Gotta make Hawke more awesome.
What if your warden commander was totally great at it and Anders just asked for the chance to travel around fpr a while seeing the world and enjoying the more permanent freedom that becoming a grey warden had at last given him? That's what I see my commander doing, I totally get that angle of reasoning, he respects you immensely but he's been under the thumb of the templars for so long or on the run from them that he doesn't want to trade one authority figure for another just yet, however fair and just and nice and honourable the new authority might be/
Would your warden have refused such a request or hunted dragged Anders back if he was away for longer than expected?

His name is a bit strange though. It means "different" in German...maybe he is the M/M romance option?

I hope not he should be straight M/F romance option.Gerudan wrote...
If it had to be one of the DA:A companions he would definitely be my choice, too. He was a funny guy, but with a discend background.

The cat is probably dead.
Cats can live for a long time. My grandparents cat lived to see the age of 17.

Well, wasn't it Gaider who when asked if Ser Pounce-A-Lot would return said, "Why not?".. It didn't seem like much without Anders confirmation, but now I'm not so sure.Russalka wrote...

@Arkynomicon: When Ser Pounce goes, my money's on darkspawn, qunari or demons before old age.

So, he is an actual companion or just someone you meet along your journey?
From the GI article, he's a companion. He's also seen in a book that Varric is referring to in another video, along with the other known companions (excluding Seb and Carver/Bethany).

Since cats are basically bodhisattvas, I am sure Justice would have a lot to discuss with Ser Pounce-A-Lot.
