UAGH! I'm so torn! Anders is so funny and sweet and one of my favorite characters from awakening, but then there's Fenris who is so new and mysterious and brooding. What will I do?! This might call for multiple playthroughs... and then I have to decide which warden to import, what specialization I'll play, whether to use default LadyHawke or a custom one.

I was hoping for a new character instead Anders was fun but Awakening was enough and in my awakening playthrough Anders had decided to stay with the Grey Wardens

I'm thinking if it's the same Justice that they are sharing time, but with more Anders. I'd be shocked that they would change his personality too much, maybe just his aspirations are different because of his time with the wardens. Otherwise I expect flirtatious snark!

The announced companions continue to disappoint me. Anders is overhyped and that earring is a HUGE turn-down plus he never seemed to have a really interesting character...he is mediocre, not more, not less.

So we get a young Dalish Elf (Dalish, oh gods.) that's called "next-door girl" => bland as hell (?), a weird mage with an earring (wasn't he bisexual too? Geeeez.), a Prince of Persia girl...bah. Could we get some interesting characters please? I just hope that Bethany has a good alignment else there's no interesting LI in the entire game.

Ask the Mass Effect 2 guys, characters like Samara, Wrex and Garrus show how to properly get a team together.

Someone else made a good point earlier that the spoilers implied that the justice spirit thing comes as a surprise after Anders has been with the group for a while, so that could mean Anders is still himself most of the time. I think he might switch over to Justice only when Justice feels a pressing need to express himself at the injustice of something (or when Anders has strong emotions that happen to coincide with what Justice feels, such as the friend becoming tranquiled).

I suppose Justice dwelling inside of Anders would be an interesting twist, though I only know of Justice from the Dragon Age Wiki. Well, we'll have to wait for the game to come out (or for spontaneous spoilers) before we can judge "Janders." Also, I'm rather glad Anders is back.

EDIT: Wait, is it confirmed that Justice is "in" Anders, because I feel like I missed something.

I'm happy about Anders return with a twist, but that video clip seriously helped ease some of my worries about the appearance and feel of gameplay. I am so excited!!

I'd be ok with this setup, or like the JE vid. In fact that might be really interesting. Hmmm.

I feel like this as well, rather ambivalent about the development. It would be nice to see Anders sobered up a little, in Awakenings he seemed more of a 'every man for himself' kind of guy. I hope this is more of a sharing experience where Anders starts to think more about various consequences but still has his humour and charm shine through the cracks every now and then.
Ah well, it's just speculation at this point. I don't think I'll be completely satisfied on this matter until the game comes out and I don't think I want to be satisfied on finding out until I jump in and play. I'm happy that he's well written enough that I'm saddened this has happened to him and eager to learn more.

Aha, I was just considering this. Though in my mind, it went from a triangle to more Justice/Hawke with one-sided Anders in the mix. Oooh, I can't wait.
