So... was the whole epilogue ending that said Anders forever had a home with The Grey Warden's, all BS?

DA2 is set concurrently with Origins; Hawke leaves Lothering during the skeletor zombie darkspawn attack.

Nathaniel is in the Free Marches, has been since his father sent him there, iirc what Howe said. Anders isn't in the DA:O game yet; you don't find him until after the Warden ends the Blight and plays Awakening. After the Warden, or the Orlesian Warden goes to Amaranthine and Vigil's Keep, the real darkspawn attack the keep, and the Warden finds Anders, dead darkspawn, and dead Templars who were taking him back to the Tower or to his execution.

All of Awakening takes place after that. So, no conflicts with Anders living with the Gray Wardens.

I had read some from some demo player that Hawke is finally allowed entrance into Kirkwall at the end of the Fereldan Blight, and I believe that Awakening was 6 months after DA:O.

I 'm just concerned that the game informer article has him listed as a former Grey Warden, when my epilouge's always ended with the Warden's forever being a home, (correction) a true home to him.

I'm also concerned that there is a time miscrepancy due to Ander's being in Kirkwall at the beginning of the game, but the epilouge made it sound as if Ander's spent month's if not years at Vigil's keep or other Warden Bases. Although, I suppose DA always did have many time flopp ups.

Damn, I really should stop reading the forums until the game releases. I mean, Anders being in the game wasn't that much of a secret but it makes me wonder if February is gonna be full of spoilerific info that will ruin my DA2 experience.

He will always be in a peasent clothes. Until you magically unlock his second outfit after flying sailing around in your magic spaceship pirate boat to help him with a super secret quest you have never known about even though he was your brother.

*watches the gameplay vid* That's hot. Ooo, look! SPARKLIES! Damn, the spells look tops. Glad I'm running a mage in my first playthrough, 'cos that means Anders will also get to enjoy in the pleasure of shooting lightning at fools.

*heavy sigh* It's gonna be a loooong few weeks.

Is he only a temp companion then? DA2 takes place over 10 years doesn't it?

I edited my post. I have no idea. The story can change to fit in whatever the devs want, I guess. Someone who's been following this more closely than I have will probably answer you.

Is anyone else getting a choppy unwatchable slideshow with sound?

Also, Varric's brother sounds like Duke Nukem.

I was at first, but I was more worried that my computer froze up when it went to the website. Seriously, they need to get that checked out, it happens to me all the time. My computer can run HD video editing software, how come it can't handle Gameinformer?

They've already said (and shown) that you can play DA2 as an action RPG (playing without pausing) and as a tactical RPG. (and they already stated that some battles on NORMAL need pausing).

"Holy ****" - looking at dull greyish-blue landscape with some strange red cubes. Meyh.

Also, seems devs were a little overzealous on making slow combat faster. Hawke swings staff like a lightsabre.

Looks pretty good - thank God my character won't look like she's had a lobotomy when performing actions anymore! And lol@the hack & slash comment above. Just because we finally have some fluid animations, that does not automatically equate to hack & slash gameplay.
