I'm not a fan of the needelss mage-kung-fu action with a staff at long range. In CC it makes sense.

is Hawke the one who says "is this what you were expecting?", I mean, does he speak by himself without us telling him what to say? that would be really disappointing.

Yes it was, and yes he does. Shepard sometimes does it as well.

Alright so useless comic relief character is returning....I am disappoint.
Mage looks great, though I am slightly annoyed at how fast hawke's life went down. 2 shades and he was almost dead...does not bode well for a mostly mage party. We saw the mabari hound and chain lightning as well as the staff combos in game that look very nice. No oomph responses that I could see however, no enemies suddenly falling due to a loss of consciousness from a blow to the head or anything.

Might have something to do with the fact that he's engaged in melee combat, swinging his staff instead of flinging spells.

Did mages forget how to stand in the corner and let warriors go the dirty work?

  That, and It looks like   Hawke forgot to bring any warriors with him for that battle.   Oops!  lol.   Well, except for maybe Carver,  who apparently forgot to  dress for the  occasion.

I know Shepard does, and I don't like it, but I wanted to give Hawke the benefit of the doubt before believing he's like Shepard.
That was totally unnecessary, there were three other people with Hawke and Varric who could have said that line.

I dunno... I think I'm gonna break tradition of starting the game with a two-handed warrior and try the mage, magic looks THAT good.



To think I've never even played as a mage in Origins. Not past the origin itself, anyway.
