 With Shepard out of the picture; these are my matchmaking service results:

Miri and Jacob: I feel he secretly always loved her but he has trouble expressing himself due to his own personal issues which have effected his confidence. He has been too afraid to show his true feelings to her for fear of rejection and Shepard's appearance on the scene further complicates things. Now he feels more inadequate than ever. As a result of his failure to act on his true feelings he's mired in the friend zone, but I think he can overcome his inner demons and valiantly win over her heart in an act of bravery befitting the man 

Wrex and Aria: There's speculation that they may have met when Aria went under a different alias and each played a part in each others past - It would be an interesting twist.

Ashley and Garrus: Unlikely yes, but I think it would be interesting dynamic to see Ashley overcome her deep-seated prejudices and fall for a non human, and who better than a Turian!

Thane and Samara: I think they are a good fit with where they are in their respective lives and would stimulate each other on an intellectual and spiritual level.

Jack and Kaidan: Grunt would be funny as hell but I think she would die. While Jack is completely off the rails, Kaidan is totally grounded, he's a good listener, very thoughtful and emotional guy. I feel she would end up toughening him up and stop him from being such a **** and he in turn would be her lithium. Perfect.

Tali and Kal'reegar: Unrequited love; I don't feel she feels the same way. She might settle if shepard for example were to move on.

Liara and Mordin: A tragic romance?; they share a lot of the same interests, e.g. science and in studying other cultures, for example though I fear it wouldn't last. Still, same problem with shepard… both but a fleeting glimpse.

Grunt and Legion are off the table as far as i'm concerned.

Garrus states he'd have never been attracted to another species if it hadn't been for femShep: no romance

Jack doesn't trust anyone but Shep: no romance

Wrex may have a mate, just not onboard. Gotta have little krogans: no romance

Grunt has 13 breeding requests pending: no romance

Ashley could have fallen for Kaidan: no romance

Kaidan likes Liara (art appreciation, you see...): Liara & Kaidan for biotic fun!

Kasumi has it in for the priiize and Jacob needs to loosen up: Jacob & Kasumi FTW!

Samara turns Shep down... can't think of anyone else worthy enough: no romance

Zaeed is getting old and grumpy... but secretely loves Chakwas: Massani & Chakwas FTW!

Miranda may marry TIM... and clean him out in the divorce: no romance

Jocker would totally go for an EDI avatar (like Andromeda): Joker and EDI FTW!

Tali likes Kal Reegar: some potential there

Mordin will breed with whoever his family decides: no romance

This fic implies their relationship ended because she simply wasn't ready to accept the idea of a man who sincerely liked her for who she was (which sadly I've seen more than once in real life).

That rings so true I'm now thinking I've read it somewhere, although I'm pretty sure I haven't.

That'd definitely be my first choice for her. Another gold mine of drama.

I'm all for more interactions between crew members period. Similar to the way your group carries on in Dragon Age or Balder's Gate II. I can actually picture Shepard accidentally walking in on Grunt and Jack for some reason. I'd also like to see parent/child or brother/sister style interactions within the crew, too. Particularly Joker and the doctor, and Kasumi and Jack.

I'm another person to set on Garrus/Femshep to see him with anyone else...

I like Chakwas and Zaeed too, it just seems like it work.

Joker/EDI is the best, she needs to get a Cylon body.

Tali/Kal Reegar, she certainly seems attracted to him.

Thane/Samara could work, they seem fairly similar.



I like the idea someone had that there'd be several possible romances between other characters and it would be random or affected by seemingly insignificant choices who ends up with whom. Maybe tough to implement, and also there'd be the question of how it would be developed from Shepard's point of view, would she walk in on a couple and cue a cutscene or would it just be something you could pickup from random dialogue? Interesting at least.

Thought of something more along the lines of Mentor/Parent to Apprentice/Child for this pairing:



Samara/Jack



Samara killed her daughter, the smartest and strongest of her daughters. Jack is smart and strong but lacks focus and direction. Samara gives her that direction by beginning to train her in the Code. Jack resists until she realizes that it would let her kill more rather than less. She'd just have to do it by the code.

I don't think it would be essential to the plot at all. In what context would it be brought up? It would distract a lot.

In the context of realism while interacting with your crew-mates. It also could lead to interesting choices, and doesn't have to be thrust into the limelight but could be handled with more subtlety.
