This isn't an MMO, but it would be cool if you guys could play it. You could try Bootcamp though, right?kellkat2 wrote...
Make this game Mac compatible. I would so play it. You're losing out on a large data base and $$.
Being Mac compatible though isn't just a WoW thing.

And games don't start out single player and then become MMOs, they're either designed intentionally as a single player game or an MMO game. Two totally different entities.

They're not losing out on a huge market by not being Mac compatible. You know you are not a large group of people when you make headlines that read: "Mac marketshare SURGES to 5% in the UK."
Surge is not the word I would use there for that monster 5%.

I'd rather pay now than pay later with cheaply built, inferior quality that requires constant maintenance.

I haven't had any stability issues with it (bootcamp) yet. But I don't use it for much.

Dragon Age: Origins is a single player game. I am pretty sure it will always be a single player game. There might be some multiplayer support down the line....maybe possible via a mod or something..I dunno? However, I am not saying there couldn't be a Dragon Age MMO in the future...but Dragon Age: Origins itself is a single player game.kellkat2 wrote...
I know it's not an MMO at the moment. However, many didn't start out that way and grew to become just that. Yes, if I could afford Bootcamp I'd have it. Still - those things tend to have stability issues (I had Parallels - don't get me started). The ideal would be for these companies to just make their games Mac compatible as well. What - are we still in the 90's??

LOL it's true. I've had my Mac for 2 years. Not one single issue with that sort of thing and no nasty VISTA to worry about. No constant additional software to buy to keep it running "correctly." No myth - just plain fact.
Hahahahahahah- Oh, you were serious? Sorry!

Yeah, that nasty Vista that can run Dragon Age whereas you can't because you make up less than 8% of the personal computing marketshare.
brb let me load up Dragon Age just to Alt+F4 it because I can while you try to tell me your computing platform is superior.

I have Vista. I don't have issues with it...I have had minor things though I suppose. I just game and browse the internet on it though mainly.
Do we have to turn this into a Mac vs PC thread though?

Yes...you're obviously an inexperienced computer user (platform independent statement) that bought the sales pitch. Well, you just go ahead and keep believing that. I'll hope for your sake that you don't get and spread some nasty virus since you're probably not taking any precautionary steps.

Yeah, that's the constant battle cry of the PC set. "Of course it doesn't have any of those! Why make the minority suffer if you can make the majority suffer?" Meanwhile, we Mac users just sit back and grin.
Sit back and grin because you can't do anything else except make spreadsheets.
