Shepard 1

Knee to the balls

Calmly ask them why with her gun against their head.

Depending on the reason given, if she believes that reason and whether or not they would they may live tho she would not have them on the ship or in case they betray her again or they may be or be shot in the head and thrown out the airlock.

Depending on how close they were and how much the betrayal stung, she may become even more crazy paranoid and “closed” than she already is

Shepard 2
Assuming they were close to her: Rage spaz, beat the crap out of them.

Demand to know why, likely with them pressed up against a wall and her arm on their neck so they can barley talk.

It’s unlikely she would be able to shoot a former friend, no matter the reason but she would never want to see them again, so dumped at nearest port.

I actually play like that.

This^

Shepard 4
Shot in head and urinate on mutilated corpse. Well ok maybe not that far but they would be dead before they had a chance to even explain.

Yep

Push them out a window...

Squadmate:"I can't help you anymore Shepard! Bla bla bla my bla bla bla Reapers something something!"

Shepard:"Not the answer I was looking for."

Squadmate:"I've got nothing more to say then."

RENEGADE INTERRUPT

*Squadmate is shoved out window*

Shepard:"How about I'm sorry."

Shepard 1) Incapacitate and restrain for interrogation to explain the betrayal. I'd want to know if there's a significant chance that other squad-mates might also betray me. Depending on the answers and weather or not they'll make another attempt, they may live.

Shepard 2) There's going to be a hole.

Cool responses, I would deal with it with the same way with everyone: Tie Ashely to a nuke and leave her on Virmire.

Sucks to be Ashely.

Garrus' betrays Shep. Shep ties Ashley to nuke and leaves her on virmire.
Ashely: Shepard WTF is wrong with- *boom*
Garrus: ah... c-commader?
Shep
: shut up It makes me feel better!

Sorry sorry..I know what you meant I'm just being an ass. Don't take my lame humor personally ;)

Depends. The scenario would be different depending on who is the traitor. If I don't like them, I shoot them in the face and toss em out the airlock. If I like them I shoot them in the foot and offer them a second chance.

If I can't decide I shoot them in the face then offer them a second chance.

No no, I meant that I would tie up Ashley no matter who betrayed me, and that was pure win.

A little bit of both, really. First, I'd beat the crap out of them. Then, I'd talk them back into joining my side. I'll wait until we are back on the Normandy (assuming we weren't on it), then I'll REALLY beat them just to make sure they got the point across.

Blow their head off even if it is Garrus (my favorite squadmate) or Liara (my love interest)

Bullet to the forehead. I have no sympathy for betrayals. If the squad mate did so under indoctrination then I would be performing a mercy killing.

I personally don't really care frankly.

The betrayal card is so overused that it doesn't elicit any emotion from me anymore.

I'd want to hear the reason. Then, unless it's a damn good reason, my canon shep will probably get revenge (I'm assuming that the betrayal is pretty bad of course). Though I'd be more lenient on some characters than others. Two in particular I wouldn't mind shooting without even a reason. But yeah, it's pretty much all about the situation, but if it's a serious betrayal and the reason isn't good enough, they're in for a world of hurt.

Unless it's Wrex. I'd forgive him immeaditely.

If death is a result than I would wish that they live forever.
If their death is a result, than I would speak at their funeral and show the who the person was before the corruption.
If it resulted in the death of a romantic interest, than I would dance with them in the six-sided ring of fire.
If it was a betrayal by a romantic interest and I lived this is how it would play out.
  • Tali- Use Normandy's cloak and destroy a Liveship using Thanix
  • Jack- Give her back to Cerberus
  • Miranda- Kill her sister?
  • Ashley- Find her sisters
  • Jacob- (He would already be dead from the Suicide Mission)
  • Garrus- Find his sick mother and beat the scales off of her
  • Thane- Put his son in jail for life
  • Kaiden- (Got nuked, premonition?)

Depends on whos doing the betraying

if Tali did it my shep would just let her kill him sense it'd be too heart wrenching. And killing her would not be possible.

If Garrus did it shep half expected it when he showed up in Omega and Garrus was making a point of stalking people and would be shocked, saddened, would try really hard to convince Garrus not to do it but if the man won't back down he will take no pride or pleasure in having to fight him.

If Grunt does it the guy already gave fair warning saying if I find a clan and men to fallow me I'll pit them against you.

Um... Jack no surprise she's crazy,

Miranda no surprise its Miranda.

Ash/Kaiden sad but shep will take them out with a heavy heart.

Joker? What's he gonna do break his arm at him?

Anderson I'm traumatized,

Udina yes bring it on!

Zeed and Kasumi - they work for money

Jacob - I could see it he would do it if blackmailed he would not do it happily and Shep wouldn't kill him happily if he does come up as the one I'd like to give him every chance like Saren to back down.

Take it in stride. For the Shep whose outlook I most share, she doesn't particularly like any of these people. You don't take your friends on a suicide mission-- you take people who are effective and who the galaxy won't miss much if they don't come back.

Paragon way.
  • Disarm them.
  • Heal them.
  • Figure out why they betrayed me.
  • Forgive them.
  • Persuade them to repent.
  • Hug them.
  • Shoot them.

If Tali did it, tried but failed to kill Shepard...

Well, one Shepard would break her face plate, and then leave her fate to her immune system.

Another would shut off her re-breather.

Find them, capture them, fly them over to the nearest star and ventilate the airlock.
With "Congratulations, you are a first alien to colonize a star" as farewell words.

As paragon, I give him a chance to explain himself before ventilating airlock.

I'd disarm and interrogate them extensively, if nothing then in order to find out whatever messed up reason made them shag a Varren.

I think it would be a fitting dilemma for the series if they had a squadmate betray you but offer to help you when discovered. If it is due to indoctrination there could be trust issues with the paragon option or if they betray your intentions to the council or cerberus the incentive could be for them to double-deal. Or they could be crucial to recruiting their race to fight the reapers and killing them would hurt the overall goal. With a few details worked in it could be a very interesting choice.

Depending on the circumstances I would either A) (Paragon) Try to make them see reason and or B) (Renegade) Shove them out the nearest airlock.
