Played it through to completion and haven't had any corrupted saves and that's including playing through Shadow Broker and Overlord. I've experienced sound glitches and one freeze on a loading screen but I just restarted the PS3 and the game resumed fine.

Why doesn't everyone just turn the autosave feature OFF? Leave it off until the last mission (where there are very long stretches where you can't save) and just save manually very often.
I also understand that the data corruption occurs in the player profile, so that even if you back up your game save file, you can't load that career anymore. I could be wrong, since it has not happened to me, but I have not heard otherwise.

No corrupted data for me neither and I've finished my first playthrough.I own the original 60GB PS3 that launched i Europe. The only bugs I encountered once was the rainbow bug and the bad textures in Overlord. So I say"Fantastic work,Bioware"(not sarcastic).

Got the platinum trophy recently, this playthrough wasn't as smooth as the normal one. On insanity there are several spots with infinitely spawning enemies and it froze several times in those. Fortunately I was again spared of the save bug and even the Shadow Broker mission worked as flawless as before.

I finished it without any issues last night on Insantiy. The only weird things that happened were team mates dissapearing during battle and sometimes freezing. And I died but I didn't die. I was a god!!! Aside from that it was ok. Out of Sync but ok. I will now try and break my game with the DLC.

On my third playthrough, no problems, and I haven't even turned off Autosave (though I also don't log into the EA Servers because... why would you? This isn't a multiplayer game).

I'm going through my second play, 25 hrs in. The first playthrough took +85 hrs (I completed all missions, including side quests and all DLCs. No major issues to report, I got stuck a couple of times in a corner, requiring a restart. Also, I'm noticing that the audio in cut-scenes on the second playthrough is a little bit off, sometimes is quite annoying.

The audio sync issue is something that I don't really mind, but at the same time I can't understand how that got through the testing process, since on my copy it happens in the exact same missions, in the exact same spots, every single time. I've seen a lot of people say that they experience it in the same places I do, as well. (Jack's recruitment especially.)

Yeah, happens in very specific spots. It's weird that some cutscenes are fine while other exhibit 1.5 second audio lag. Jack's recruitment mission is probably the most infamous of the lot.prazision wrote...

I've played through ME2 once so far, and I didn't have *any* freezes or corrupt data. The only thing I noticeably experienced was a bit of lag in the Geth base, which basically made it quite easy to kill Geth attackers.

Fourth playthrough, lots of freezes and some running around in the air but no corrupt data or out of sync audio. Have had whole lines of dialogue cut out though, but only like three times.

Here is my story so far:
I played my first game on normal. I did everything, even shadow broker. My level was 29 at the end(60+ hours in). I had no freeze problem. I left the game in XMB every 2 or 3 hours.
Now, I play on insanity and after 30 hours no problems either.
The only thing bugging me is the long load times in the Normandy.
