Seriously Bio? Funny how you keep telling those skeptical to "wait and see" but...oh look..it's EXACTLY what we figured you were doing.

that looks like garbage. absolute garbage. The skill tree's look cluttered, that interface is dog crap. And the combat? great job speeding it up! too bad it looks janky as hell and is EXACTLY how those of us you told to "wait and see" DID NOT WANT..

welcome to Diablo Age II.

But grats catering to the BOOMHEADSHOT LIVE mentally challenged crowd. Sure they'll love it.

and Fenris? Hawke and Fenris?  wow just give us some water-themed name and we can finish your Might Morphin Power Rangers team.

Alistair
Hawke
Duncan
Leliana
Flemeth
Fenris
Oghren
Zevran

can you spot the two names that don't effin FIT in with those? why are you going with this stupid naming crap?? Hawke and Fenris?? Do we have a Wolverine also? How about a Raven?? C'MON POWER RANGERS GO GO GO GO

words can't begin to convey the absolute DISGUST I see in this game.

how the mighty have fallen.

Have fun with this BioArts. What effin garbage.

You are whining about catering to the so called boom headshot crowd and yet you have ME2 registered as one of your games :) and by the way the combat is nothing like a hack and slash or any other action game mate :D

Dissapointed by the deep roads, very bland, where are the dwarven carvings, the texture quality looked bad also but I will put that down to the video itself for now, I still don't like the blocky UI, it looks primitive, something that would have been seen in games 5 years ago.

Here's hoping the story fills the gap, because so far the graphics are failing in my opinion.

mike laidlaw explained that in the video

this particular thaig is "wrong" as there is no dwarven statues and decorations.

Better than Origins to be honest and that was only one part of the deep roads.

Origins console graphics must have been really bad then for people to consider this an improvement.

It's hilarious you didn't include Morrigan, the name of a Celt goddess.

Oh, yeah. And Hawke? It's an old name.

I wouldnt say bad but still worse than what ive seen so far. Anyhow graphics or UI is not what I really care about in an RPG

I am playing origins at this moment, the scenes in that video showed very little in the way of detail when it comes to surfaces, the only way I can explain the way it is I just perceived brightly colored objects with little to no detail, that's it!, very cartoon like.

They have mentioned a few times that the graphics are supposed to be slightly cartoony but to each their own taste I suppose :).

Got a question about the dialogue system. We kill it had two swords in the wheel, as did we refuse it.

Does that mean you fight it with either of those options? Not my style to falco punch rocks. That are on fire. Who are also demons.

I'd guess the "refuse" option starts a regular fight while "we kill it" has the extra punch in the beginning for flavour or smth (or whichever it was that's associated with it)

A few people on the comments page are complaining that, from the video, this looks dumbed down compared to Origins. How? It's the same combat, but faster. You still have all sorts of dialogue options. The skill trees look great. I can't understand why people keep saying this when, from everything we've seen so far, that doesn't appear to be the case at all.

Regardless of that, the video was good and it was nice to see some female animations. Yay, Bethany! I love the facial animations- much better than the 'I am sad', 'I am angry now' and 'I am laughing' looks every one had in Origins.

I can see what people are saying graphics wise- personally it looks better than the Origins I played (360), but that place does look very clean for an old thaig.

Yeah, the scale of the scene I liked,- in that it seemed like a large area. And the lighting does seem improved.

But I agree, that area just seemed so sterile and bland really. Unique area of the Deep Roads or not, that place looked like they had maid service or something.  It lacked any character and grit or sense of being some ancient ruin. But I think thats just the DA2 art style, especially with respect to the environments- sparse and barren.

I'm beginning to wonder if the only areas we'll see in DA2 are Kirkwall, Deep Roads and that one forest.

I agree.. Is there a reason that the UI is so ugly? What exactly was the problem with DA:O's interface? It looked good on both consoles and PC, it was functional and informative without being overbearing.. the menues were easy to navigate (on PC anyway..)

Its just confusing. It's like they just gave up trying to make something nice. Even Dungeon Siege III's UI looks way better.

Thanks for the screencaps, Saibh. My internet connection is so horrible that the video was pausing for about a minute for every second.

11 minutes of footage from the Xbox 360 version. :wizard:

This should shut up all the doom sayers. It still looks like Dragon Age to me but new and improved. I don't see why they had to make the start menu look like the Mass Effect one but still, the gameplay looks good and the RPG elements look great. I'm looking forward to it.

I like that you can include party members in conversations.

The text in the squad menu looks like the same text as in Mass Effect 2. Is it going to be easy to read on a standard TV?

I like the faces. Bethany at least seems to be on par with ME2 in terms of facial detail.

That... might be it.
