I almost facepalmed. Punching a rock?

Hey, Hawke is taking a leaf from the Chris Redfield school of combat.  Real men punch rocks.

I have to admit... that came off as more stupid than badass.

Do we know that the rock wraith's skull is actually rock? It could have belonged to some unfortunate humanoid. If it does, then it would be your standard calcium-based skull, in which case punching it in the face isn't all that silly (especially with metal gauntlets on).

EDIT: if it's entirely made out of rock...never mind. :P

Let´s hope Hawke´s badassery isn´t all like that. Varrick starts too feel too much like Michael Bay.

Well, I have to say that I have some unapologetic love for the details you can see for certain things, like amounts of damage in upgrades, etc - your decisions for improvements much more clear and full of info. It seems much less cluttered at the same time as giving more information in an easier-to-digest manner. I love the icon addition to the dialogue wheel also. All in all, it looks much nicer than the original, frankly.  On that regard: WELL DONE Bioware.

To me it seemed like the interviewer was confronting the similarity to Mass Effect because it is obvious, fans talk about it and he did it, I thought anyway, a complimentary manner. It was just put "out there" which wasn't a criticism, sounded more like just an observation from a fan in the know.

All in all: Looking really good. How different will the in-battle skill selection be for the PC version I wonder? Will it be the console type wheel or skill bars like the original? Anyone know offhand? Wait, did I just become a game-play nerd? Someone show me some fan-art quick! ;)

Note:  punching flaming rocks.

punching reporters is soooo last year, punching flaming boulders is what's in right nowB)

Perhaps inspiration for Hawke performing such a move came from this:

Edit: Seems I was beaten to the "punch". XD

Nice video! I can't say I disliked anything I saw. Although the ruins looked eerily intact, unlike some of the other dwarven stuff we've seen.

Thanks for the video Mike!

I am reminded how hard it can be to play and talk at the same time. Though for the record, the beard was surprisingly easy to grow. Yay for burly, farmer, Scottish heritage!

Keep it flowing! I can grow a good one. Want to have a contest? :P

Am I the only one who thinks tanking looks rather....weak?

Either that or they had the game on casual, because it seems they were blasting through those enemies pretty easily.

I am so excited for this game. Great interview Mike! Words cannot describe how happy I am that we get Helmet Toggle. All our (ME2crowd) whining paid off apparently :D Great work guys!

Thank ya! And to everyone who's said thanks: no problem. Always fun to work with Giant Bomb. They're a lot of fun. And not many people can make me sound comparitively squeaky and high pitched.

I think that previews tend to be better when you have people who are excited about talking about the game.  There have been times in the past where previews come across flat because the person talking just doesn't seem genuinely excited/happy about the game (and it could be be something as simple as it's the 50th time they talked bout it in the last hours)...Great Job!

Yeah Giantbomb rocks. I even watch quicklooks for games I hate or have no intention of ever touching, just to listen to them talk about it. It's like my weekly comedy show, only its not.
