I will not be buying the game until that is eihter fixed or a mod comes out that fixes the horrible scale. I'm a patient man and can wait.

But I do fear the so-called "awesome" vision and style of DA2. I don't see it.

I think that sword, etc is all part of Varric's story.... so it'll suck really playing with lv. 1 sword, and stuff...

  Hahahaha  No.  That's not pessimism.  That's  baby whining.    Or to be polite,  hyperbole for comedic effect.

It's also an opinion based on lack of comprehensive knowledge of either game.  We've seen Gampeplay video of DA2 with Hawke Wielding  2-handed weapons such as  Mauls and Axes.   They were standard sized..

  Did you also refuse to buy DA:O?    Because  in DA:O,  daggers weren't daggers.  They were Shortswords.   At least in DA2, daggers are finally daggers.

possible the sword is "exaderatedly" large b/c this is from varric's "exadgerated" story telling?
