"Force" Mage, Blood Mage and Spirit Healer are the ones we're getting, I think.

I wish they would have allowed for the awesomeness of a sword in one hand, and a staff in the other. Going along the dual weapons tree, and the magic tree would have been a fantastic combo.
That would be pretty cool, don't know why people balance games (just make more mobs), main character with magic should end up as a God Emperor, plus Mages can use magic to live for up to one thousand years in most fantasy lore......

I think "Force" Mage is supposed to be pretty awesome though. I think a German reviewer said it did something like +125% damage?! Or maybe 125%, so + 25%
I know its pretty amazing right? And you get that for just picking the class. Mages are going to be unstoppable in DA2 especially with specializations like Force Magic, and Blood Magic.

I've seen my Sensei swing a sword a lot faster - wouldn't want to get in his way.

Tempted to actually play a mage but I hate the robes so id be inagony till i get the champ gear or w/e armor hawke is wearing in the vids. Arcane warrior was a huge letdown in DAO. Could swing a wep and that was it.

Obviously there would be limitations on a combo like this, smartass. I wasnt suggesting that they should allow you the option of turning on God Mode from the main menu.

To be fair, the attack animations in Origins were laughably slow. Watching Sten swing Starfang about was almost painful - Even an untrained swords(wo)man could have killed him three times in the time it took Sten to swing. The swings in the videos so far, whilst seeming a little fast when watched, are more realistic than Origins - in a real fight, being slow means being dead most of the time.
I've seen my Sensei swing a sword a lot faster - wouldn't want to get in his way.
I agree with you there. The greatsword animations in Origins were painfully slow and boring, so having more control over when you swing via a button, and having faster animations seems a-okay to me.

LOL i was deadly serious, a true Mage would be able to defeat lord of the rings army of Orcs himself.
Raymond E. Feist comes the closest to writing about true Mages.

Yeah.. He's not lame, and he's not canon. He's just the best.
Way better than generic warrior Hawke.

lol yeah why do people think "me stab stuff with sword RAWR" is better than using powerful magic to summon things from your fingers.

--I completely forgot there were boss finishing moves in DA:O, which is why I am asking-- Unless the cool epic moves the mage and rogue were doing is normal combat, then i'd be like in<3 with DA 2 combat
