and i must admit i am a bit underwhelmed... it seems to me like a rushed job to get money from the customers. bioware said they didnt have time to put shale in the game... so shouldnt the storyline have been more than a 30min dungeon crawl? i mean if he was planned wouldnt they have a big quest for him? i am sorely disappointed with the dlc and believe ea/bioware just wish to make an easy profit!!!

Everyone who bought the game gets that content for free... so where's the easy profit?

the easy profit is that they did not include it in-game and charged extra for the game

None of the companions have a 30min+ quest (Like Alistair's sister, Sten's sword, Wynne's Spirit, Morrigan's grimoire). I don't think Shale was to be a major sidequest from the start. If your wondereing about anything after getting Shale, I don't think so, unless you count comments he makes during your quest.

No they didn't. The game was not charged extra due to Stone Prisoner, they were merely there as encouragement for new purchase rather than renting or second-hand purchase.

Shayle's story continues past Honnleaf (or whereever it is called) you just have to make sure 'it' (not giving anything away here) is in your group for the whole of one section of the game, personally i think Shayle is very well done with a rather intresting backstory.

btw who thinks Shayle is kinda like HK-47 from KotOR?, as in a similar personality....

I was hoping he'd call me a meatbag at some point but no luck :(

He's far from a rush job tbh. Tons of dialogue, has random chatter with companions, chimes in during the majority of quests and his personal quest is way more interesting than most other companions.

I was pretty disappointed when I got Shale last night as I was getting sick of my overloaded inventory and decided I would use him to offload a few crystals and it turns out he can only equip two of them. FFS. The inventory system is FAR too restrictive in this game. I bought the Warden's Keep DLC so hopefully that'll be the remedy to this inventory bull****. Really bad move charging $7 for an inventory solution under the guise of legitimate content. Otherwise a top notch game F'd with a severely crippled inventory.

He does. If you have him in your party when you do the Mage's Circle quest, right before you meet Wynne again he says "All meat sacks should be locked up. Not just mages"
