Scholars will be interpreting the historical and literary significance of this game 100 years from now.

That's probably a bit much. If anything the original KOTOR game has had, and will continue to have, more impact on the world of gaming tha this game (fun though it may be). :crying:

Just saying, a hundred years from now scholars will look to games
like KOTOR because they are more easily tied into major cultural phenomena.
Dragon Age is a great game, don't get me wrong, but a hundred years from now it
will only be us true ‘old school gamers’ who played games on ‘analogue Flat
Screen TVs’ that will remember this game.  ../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png

I agree, i'm a big single player game fan in general all genre's included, i don't like the push to online games, even beloved games like command and conquer are being made online only, so thankyou for giving us many hours of hassle free game time.

Pitting KOTOR ageanst Dragon Age is abit much. You are taking an establish franchise and pitting it ageanst a up an coming franchise. Two different beasts at different stages in there life.

Dragon Age has done more then enough to make it worth the invest and is a epic game on its own, even within an established franchise behind it yet.

Absolutely, dragon age surpass any expectation i could have about a single player RPG.I could write pages about what i like about it and frankly i have an hard time finding something negative to say about the game. Truly one of the best rpg ever produced , like planescape, BG2, Ultimas, NWN2, and maybe even better than them.

Its more than the spiritual heir of baldurs gate 2, it surpass it in every aspects.

Great game, great atmosphere and music too, which is just as important at the story. Great to see you put effort into each area of the game. Love the online aspect too and playing in a party with my friends.

So long as EA can keep from screwing BioWare up like they did with Origin, I'm quite happy with the situation. And there's still ZeniMax's Bethesda even so. Or the smaller players, like Spiderweb or Basilisk. So it's not just BioWare making quality RPGs.

You can even remove the RPG part. Im just glad theres still great single player games, period. Am i the only one that hates the way gaming is going, where everything has to be multiplayer? Sure, i enjoy the occasional Call of Duty/Gears of War match, but ill always prefer single player.

I fully agree with the OP. This si the best single player rpg i've played in years. Hell, it makes "the witcher" pale in comparison. Great job bioware, I'm really looking forward to all your future releases (DAO exp., Mass effect 2 en SWTOR)

Yeah I'm glad that I don't have to wait several years between Elder Scroll games now cause this game exists to span the gap

Of course theres stuff like FF & Lost Odyssey BUT thats not the same , I prefer RPGs to be like Elder Scrolls & Dragon age are , real time

After such poor excuses for RPG's like oblivion and fallout 3, its awesome to see that someone out there still understands what makes an awesome RPG and that they havent been forced to do EA's bidding! Awesome game, great job!
