I would love to see a game from Bioware that didn't have the All Seeing Eye, Eye of Horus and other variations of Luciferian Ideology. Must it be in every game?

Thanks for everything Bioware. I haven't enjoyed myself this much since my first play though of NWN oh so many years ago. Keep up the hard work. B)

It's really comforting given the MMO craze that has infected the gaming community that Bioware still produces single player masterpieces.

I've ranted about my own gripes.. but this game far succeeds any other fantasy rpgs that has ever been made. It's a shame that games with such quality story and content get seen by such a small number of people(compared to.. a movie perhaps, where the entire world pretty much sees it)

I recall Baldur's Gate out of nostalgia as an awesome game. I think DA may end up doing the same. Provided that it is continued with real full-length expansions instead of miniature addon dlc.

I fully agree with the OP. This si the best single player rpg i've played in years. Hell, it makes "the witcher" pale in comparison. Great job bioware, I'm really looking forward to all your future releases (DAO exp., Mass effect 2 en SWTOR)

Whoa whoa.. makes "The Witcher" pale in comparison? thats a bold statement to make. The Witcher is one of, if not the, greatest single player rpg's ever made. in my opinion the combat, story, and the atmosphere make it the best rpg ever made period. although DA has proven its worth to me, its on my top 10 list without a doubt. its up there with the BG's, NWN's, ES (really just morrowind), Fallouts (1,2), Gothics (1,2, and Risen), and Diablos (we all love those games dont lie).

I'd thank them, if they hadn't already betrayed us with that MMO Kotor 3 business.

Okay.. thanks...

Just finished the game this morning. According to the last save, I had about 56 hours on it... which makes it the longest Bioware game I've played since well before KoTOR (which I think I had about 40 hours on). Absolutely loved every second of this game and cannot stress that enough! Thank you to all the developers and everyone involved in making this game what it is! This game was truly epic!

It's funny, I played the human noble origin and *human noble origin spoiler* I kept saying to myself and my wife, over and over and over and over again, "That Sunofa***** Arl Howe is DEAD, He's a dead man walking, he just doesn't know it yet!". This origin story effected me on an emotional level.

So true! All of the origins were very gripping and beyond that all the voice acting and animation is absolutely superb, I can't help but become a bit attached to the story and feel a bit of the anger, joy, etc that my character is feeling in the situations. The storytelling is just that good!

Truly this is the best RPG I've played in years, it couldn't have come at a better time too, I had been wishing for a solid fantasy epic game to play for some time and Dragon Age has delivered a hundred fold.

Thank you Bioware, you never cease to amaze me!

You know, as with most modern Bio-Ware games there are going to be players who aren't fully pleased with Dragon Age, heck, I myself was severely disappointed with Mass Effect (although ME2 does appear to be resolving my issues with the original game), however, I do have to agree with the original poster and also offer my thanks to Bio-Ware.

I have to thank Bio-Ware a little more than that, though, since they could have easily ignored the fans and not bothered making games like NWN/KotOR but instead focused primarily on console driven and - ultimately - dumbed down RPGs. Yet they've given us Dragon Age -- a game that offers content and depth equalling what most of us hardcore RPGers often expect (but are often never met). So thank you Bio-Ware.

Agreed. I didn't realise how much I'd been missing a decent SP RPG until I got stuck into this.

It's so nice to play an 'old-skool' RPG! I am so sick of multiplayer games that you can't pause and I was also a little disappointed with Neverwinter Nights 2. So far, Dragon Age seems to indeed be the 'spiritual successor' of the Baldur's Gate games, even though it's not a D&D game. Hurray!!

Absolutely agree. I was a little reluctant at first, but once I got into the "heart" of the game, I was simply amazed at the quality of the writing, the deep and interesting moral choices, the great character development, the excellent voice acting and animations....in short this is a masterpiece.

Kudos Bioware!

Once again you have delivered a top quality RPG experience.

I fully agree with this. I did not know what to expect before I bought this game.

After having played it for some time, I have to say that never before have I played a role-playing game where the stories and characters contained within are so compelling. It's like reading a gripping fantasy novel.

Truth be told I didn't expect the game to be so good while respecting its legacy as a successor to the Baldur's Gate series. I haven't finished (I'm taking my time) but it has been a very enjoyable ride so far. I especially like the way the story unfolds and the way humour is used at times and never breaks the atmosphere but on the contrary contributes to creating a very special tale.

Re Yevgenii ,

I am among the crowd that totally found the Witcher flat and bland.Tried playing it several times I just cant get into the game or story and I Loathe the main character.Eh...one mans treasure, another man's garbage.

As for praise for the game? another great story from the minds of Bioware.Though the Intro-3-4 different side area's-end game mechanic is a bit old.I've been loyal to Bioware from the BG day's this one lives up to my expectations.

Keep on making games and I will continue to buy and play them.

Agreed. Kind of a shame the engine can't support multiplayer like NWN for future modules, but it's still great.

I liked the Witcher a lot, personally, it was interesting, original, and had some beautiful graphics.  The first time I beat it, I immediately started a new game to because I wanted to see what would happen if I made different plot choices.  I think it says a lot too, that it seems to be the first game that pops into people's minds in this thread as far as other single-player RPG goodness.

That being said, Dragon Age is totally different...very engrossing.  I keep thinking that this is the first game that really feels like an interactive movie to me.  The characters mouths actually move semi-realistically when they talk (that impressed me a lot, because human facial expressions are so hard to simulate, since our brains are wired to analyze them so closely), the graphics are not super realistic, but pretty and very pleasing to the eye.  Every now and again I do see an effect or a texture that makes me go "Wow!"  I also like how its based around a 4-character revolving party, that adds a nice dimension.  It does kind of have a very KOTOR feel to it, which I like.

So in summary, thanks Bioware!  I've been waiting for Dragon Age for years and it has been well worth it!

Thank you Bioware. I don't have anything original to add to the many thanks that are already in this thread but as a long time fan of your products I felt I had to add my thanks to this thread so you know that there are old time RP'ers out here who still desperately need a good story and character driven RPG game. Please never stop making them.

Great job Bioware as always, tremendously enjoyed all the games going back to BG1.

A game with no substantive story is only half the fun.

Very fulfilling story, with room to expand...plenty

It's been a long time since I've sat down and enjoyed a fresh new cRPG and Dragon Age has reminded me how much fun they can be. I've been a supporter of Bioware for a long time, keep up the great work guys.
