This thread is SOOOOOO long, please forgive me for not reading it all, but has anyone (dev-wise) given a clue as to Anders' appearance? We know that he transformed (from his story), but is it permanent? As I speculated in another group, I'm curious......does he look like Anders? Or does he look like this?:

He looks like normal anders;

Wonder what he looks like when he transforms?  Cuz he's hardly frightening looking there.

Oh, and thanks!Posted Image

I very much doubt Bioware would force you to play an expansion pack simply to have access to one of their major companions. They do so love to feast upon our tears, but even they would have a hard time swallowing the sheer amount of fan rage such a move would bring.
If nothing else they'll probably have a set canon for the events in Awakenings for those who never played it, and a few snipped lines of dialogue that would reference Ander's time with the Warden Commander. Anything else would be cruel and unusally punishment, even by Gaider standards.

If you read the plot of Awakening, and read Anders and Justice's dialogue on the Dragon Age wiki, you'll get a good sense of who they are.  YouTube would help too.

I didn't like Awakening very much, but Anders did help me get through it.  It's good for at least a single playthrough if you've read The Calling and would like to know more about the Architect, in my opinion.

OK, so this question was asked by one of my group members last night, and the responses surprised me and made me very curious. If Alistair as a GW was sent after Anders in DA2, and you had the choice to kill 1 or the other, what would you do?

My answer: Turn it off and import Drunkistair.

Good morning Anders thread!

I'm throwing my lot in with the "can't kill Alistair" crowd. I don't usually meta-game, but this would be an instance where I just couldn't resist.

So cruel. Muahaha, you must kill your past love interest to keep your present one!

I think I'd stare at that screen for at least a day.

Or, you know, terrifying.

Now there's an idea. Just refrain from making a choice until they get bored/calm down/decide to make out instead.

Everyone wins!Posted Image

I borrowed Awakening from my friend, lol, so I don't even own it and I'm not sure if I can import my DA:A choice but at least I met Anders.

I didn't like Awakening much but Anders was the only character that kept me playing. And he's back now.......as LI.......with vengeance.....T_T

Either way I'm happy Anders is back~

Well..sorta.

The reason why I never played Awakenings (despite the fact my husband bought for me as a present) is because I never finished Origins, and didn't feel I "deserved" to play it.  The reason I couldn't finish Origins was because I could never make The Decision with Alistair.  Or rather, I knew what I would choose, but didn't want to actually play through it.  Any finished games you see on my profile were actually playthroughs by my eldest daughter.

So face with a choice like that, I'd likely not finish the game.  Not sure who wins there.  Heh

@Miri1984 lol yeah after the deed is done~

I keep thinking the whole time while I'm playing DA2, I'm gonna keep "mind hugging" Anders. Whatever he's going through is not cute. I hope he hasn't completely lost his sense of humor but with that story I'd be grumpier than Nate~

Or he still has his humor, it's just much more snarky and black, and much less lighthearted.

Someone earlier was asking if he was going to pull an Angelus, and I say to you Ser, whoever you were, that I commend you for that reference. And I hope to GOD he's not like Angelus. I mean, he may be a tad psychotic from time to time, but I don't know if I'd classify Anders or even Vengeance as someone that truely adores causing pain and thinks it's an art form.

I had a really hard time with the idea that my Princess Consort Cousland would be gallivanting around Ferelden without Alistair, so I created an Orlesian Warden.  That was somewhat easier, but I didn't finish it until recently, when I decided to role play a hard hearted human mage who would break up with Alistair before the DR.

It sounds like you'd probably prefer the Orlesian Warden option to that, though.

Yeah I would so be in with dark-snarky-black humour Anders. I approve.

But not him becoming psychotic about it, and I really doubt it. He sounds and looks more disturbed at what happened to him than he would be taking pleasure from causing pain. :?

I brought up the Angelus thing before during speculations, but I was just thinking more about a "Anders lets his guard down to enjoy a moment with Hawke and the demon, tired of being sidetracked by love and ****, assumes direct control and runs amok for awhile" type situation than anything else.

I just finished Awakening and I got it. I had completed his quest and his approval was at 75 (Warm).
