Me? I'm probably going to import my Meghan Shepard's personality over in the interests of keeping the characters in my head to a minimum. Meghan (or whatever her name will be) snark + Anders snark = possible fun times.

@ Sia I'm busy trying to draw her at the moment in the absence of a character creator. It'll be interesting to go from drawing her to creating her rather than the other way round, which is how I've always done it before.



I wanted her hair to be the same colour as Anders' is now though - might have to change that so they don't look like one of those freaky brother/sister couples (my husband and I have the same hair and eye colour even though we're not even SLIGHTLY related, and we sometimes get mistaken for siblings. It's freakish and a little upsetting).

I don't know what Meghan Hawke will look like yet, if I keep the platinum blonde/green eyed cheerleader or not.

Gah, this happened to me on my first Cousland playthrough, where my character unintentionally had the same skin tone and hair colour as Alistair. I got to Lothering and just had to start over. I wanted her to romance Alistair, but she looked like his little sister!
I almost never play blondes in games, and the one time I try, that happens! Sorry, Anders, hope you like brunettes and redheads.

Tee hee, I'm going redhead this time round. I wanted to in Origins, but I always felt so totally outclassed by how much better looking Leliana and Shainni were than me that I gave up on it and went dark haired all the way.



I suspect Anders doesn't mind what hair colour you have in any case. (I must continue to remind people that he supposedly slept with Namaya.)

I dunno, did he, though? We got that he sweet-talked her, but I was never fully convinced that they actually slept together. Not that it would be out of character, mind you, but I like the idea that Anders - with his charm, wit and good looks - could talk a woman into doing something dangerous for him without even needing to go any further.
That, and Namaya freaked me the hell out.

My warrior would totally have a bromance with Vengeance, if not Anders.
Personally, I can't wait to be BFFs with Aveline. I think she'll be great fun to have around.

@Threeparts Poor chook, got hit with the ugly stick. I like to think that Anders isn't very picky - or at least, he wasn't until this happened. The way he continually flirts with Velanna kind of makes me think he's up for it with ANYONE provided they say yes, but he doesn't particularly mind if they say no either.

RandomFemale/Male: Not particularly.

Anders: Oh. All right. Want to grab a pint instead then?



The circle tower's reputation for *ahem* promiscuity comes from The Calling, but a lot of people think it's canon now.

Hehe, I've thought about this, perhaps a bit too much.  My first Hawke is going to be a mage, and I'll be playing her mostly good/sarcastic, and very anti-Chantry, although she wouldn't take any out and out evil options regarding them if she can help it.  I'd imagine that being raised by an apostate father would make her somewhat liberal, and not too fond of the idea of being locked up in a Circle tower.  Later I'll have my "rebellious" Hawkes, but the first time around, especially for the character who will be interested in Anders, it makes sense to me.

She will also have red hair, despite my disappointment that Bethany, Carver, and Leandra's hair doesn't change with your characters.  I'll just assume she's the odd one out who inherited her hair color from her dad.

Gonna have to agree here. If I didn't have the option of turning it off and importing a different save. I mean, people say I'm horrible for exiling Alistair in a romance, but I think it would be just as horrible if not worse to kill Anders for my old character's li...

Gosh you guys type a lot. Took me over an hour to catch up with everything!

I have my mage!Hawke planned as my first playthrough to romance Anders. She's going to be very liberal, anti-Circle, anti-Chantry (considering how she was raised), but not evil or anything. She won't kill anyone unless it's really necessary. And she'll want to save Anders.

I haven't preordered and I don't plan on it. I'm going to wait a horribly long week and then buy it, so I can spoil certain parts of the romance for myself. Because if there is a way to save Anders and I don't take it, I would not be a happy camper.

I'm definitely going to have my romance with Anders first. He is my favorite character on Awakening. Between him and Alistair .. I'd rather have the romance with the mage. though they both have similar features.. but no, Anders is more fun to be around.

My husband and I are like this.  We got very alarmed the first time we saw baby pictures of each other, actually.  Our parents could have mixed us up in a store and never noticed until it was time for a diaper change.  At least we probably have a good idea of what any future kids may look like.

Argh!  I missed so much of this thread... had to take my ferret to the emergency room last night so I've been out of it all day.

Yep!  It's all speculative, but it's something to keep me busy while I wait for March 8th.  They may change a good deal once I actually play the game, of course, and their classes may change around once I play the demo.  I have 5 imports from DA:O, so I have 5 Lady Hawkes definitely planned.  Anders is slated for 3 of them, although things could always change.  I hope his romance is irresistably awesome.

Kitty - rogue (dual-wield); probably going to be my "canon" and will be dark-haired... snarky and selfish but ultimately a good person at heart, much like Anders himself
Vivian - mage; Anders girl
Charlotte - warrior (2-handed); the "noble and serious protector" type
Briar - perhaps another mage... chipper sweetheheart who's borderline naive
Gemma - rogue; Isabela romancer

Anders will get Kitty and Vivian, definitely.  Originally I was thinking he'd also get Charlotte and Fenris would get Briar, but it may be the other way around.  I like the idea of Fenris being with a mage, since that may lead to some delicious drama, but now Charlotte seems like she may "fit" better with Fenris while Briar may prefer Anders... of course, it's all blatant speculation at this point.  Other than their names, none of my Hawkes may end up as I planned.
