Any playthroughs after that will be with specific LIs, plot decisions, and epilogue outcomes in mind.

I'm definitely going to have my romance with Anders first. He is my favorite character on Awakening. Between him and Alistair .. I'd rather have the romance with the mage. though they both have similar features.. but no, Anders is more fun to be around.
Yeah, I don't think I could choose. The reason I'm so excited about Anders' romance is because I wouldn't have romanced him with my Warden (at least not my cannon Warden). So I get to create a new characrer, someone that shares his fury for the way mages are treated, someone with far too much idealism and fire, someone I can create knowing that she'd take one look at him and immediately decide that rearranging her life to suite him is the best idea she's ever had.
Oh, I can hardly wait. Three weeks!

Genevieve Hawke will be rather plain in appearance, with (hopefully) a brown braid, and always sarcastic.. She's going to be a mage who is...pro-chantry. She's very religious. WIll also be romancing Anders.
Don't see anything bad happening there. Nope. Not a thing.

What ever could you mean by that?

Now there's an idea. Just refrain from making a choice until they get bored/calm down/decide to make out instead.
Everyone wins!
Everyone wins indeed.
Anders: Help me! I'm sworn to your cause already!
Alistair: No! He's an abomination!
::both men are grappling with their clothing torn to attractive shreds::
Hawke: There's only one way to settle this. Both of you, to my bed!
Warden: Oh hell no! Back off from my men!
Alistair: Hi honey!
Anders: I'm not your man!
Warden: Not by my choice, I assure you! Damn Awakening devs...

That said, I've never played a demo before, so perhaps a couple of weeks playing each class with that will mean Hawke1 isn't quite the herpderp s/he might otherwise have been.
(Is there a character creator in the demo?)

That said, I'd happily sacrifice Alistair to help Anders. He was a sweet boy and I liked him, but Anders is far more interesting and compelling, and way less of an awkward, fumbling goofball.

Nope! I'm going to be stuck wanting to fix Lady Hawke's face for the entire demo.

There isn't?? Seriously? That's awful! My character creations usually take about an hour, definitely a great part of any game lol. I'm going to hate looking like the default f!Hawke.

Perfect! Also perfect, in my head my canon warden leaves Alistair for Anders. This is pretty much her dream scenario (minus the abomination and the potential death of one of her guys).
My first Hawke is going to be a warrior for sure, 2-handed, and a Reaver/Templar. She'll be based more on my favorite Shep than anyone else- over-protective, good-natured and a bit of a bleeding heart. I want her to romance Anders, but I am totally open to it not happening the first time.
My second Hawke will be a loveless pro-Chantry mage named Verity. I'll probably use the default face and will despise every second that I spend with her.

But what if your Warden and your Hawke are basically the same person?
And what if the Warden gets mentioned in DA2? Especially if you import a save, that would be odd.
My planned Hawke is as follows:
Moirin Hawke is a gentle soul on the surface with a temper that runs deep when angered. She'll have the longest hairstyle I can find that is hopefully wavy. She's very studious with a serious love of books, but she also has a love of nature and the outdoors. She finds the chantry ridiculous and gets edgy whenever a templar comes too close.
It should be a nice match with Anders.

Knowing Bioware and the way they made me watch Alistair sacrifice himself I can just imagine the scenario where you romance Anders through the game and he refuses to sleep with Hawke while possessed. You struggle to free him and finally manage to calm vengeance to justice. Justice tells you that he must return to the fade, that he has caused too much harm in the mortal realm but Anders will die when he can no longer support his life. So he withdraws from Anders consciousness to give Hawke and Anders one romantic night together and then in the morning he returns to the fade and Ander's dies in Hawkes arms.

Having read the Anders story, is no one else worried about the stabbing bit? I know it says it can't hurt him at the time but he gets a sword in the chest. Maybe he truly is immortal at that point or maybe it'll kill Anders once justice/vengeance is removed.

I would cry. That would be so unfair! When I read that part, I did get a bit worried. I'm just going to assume for the moment that he healed himself, because he's an awesome healer and all that.

My take on it:
This could mean that it doesn't matter if the body dies because the spirit will possess it regardless, or that the power of Anders' healing could fix it anyway. Or perhaps that Vengeance has made Anders kind of... immortal? When the possession ends, his body may well be in a very bad state. And then his sword is level with my chest, and I let it come, because it is only steel and cannot hurt me, for I am not of mortal men. And when it sinks hilt-deep in my flesh with no reaction, that's when he gives up.

I would rage. It's highly possible that something similar to that could happen... but if they stick to the Origins formula, it shouldn't HAVE to end tragically. Yes, Alistair could sacrifice himself for the Warden, but you could also make a shady deal with Morrigan and get your happy ending. I'm totally in favor of "give me the 3rd option!" in these cases, especially since "3rd options" like the Dark Ritual aren't perfect happy ending buttons. They're tainted with shades of grey, which I approve of.
The only romance with an unavoidable sad ending in Origins was Morrigan's, since regardless of what you did she left you... but that was rectified in Witch Hunt. So I have hope.

yes I'm hoping for a "grey" third option that gives you a reasonably happy ending. I don't need it all flowers, candy and butterflies but it would be nice to have something. It's just that the Anders story screams tragedy so I'm preparing myself this time lol Alistair's sacrifice was a shock in Origins.

Valeria Hawke (dual-wield rogue): I always name my first chara Valeria. <--see name To be truthful . . . . I've still got a sliver of hope in my heart that Sebastian is romanceable. If he is, she's going for Sebastian. If not, then Anders, definitely. A sassy, but virtuous rogue.
Diantha Hawke (mage): Again, provided that Sebastian is romanceable, this was going to be my Anders girl. If not, then she's currently a toss-up between Anders and Fenris. I see her as a down-to-earth person.
Still deciding on what my Warrior Hawke will be like. Hmm . . . .

Mind you, every character in every RPG ever probably finishes their big quest and then breaks down into a puddle of PTSD. We just don't get to see that bit

The Warden's spirit entered Hawke's body and took over him which explains his epicness...hey it's called role playing you know, you can do whatever you want.
Also, I'm gussing Anders is even more religious now? This is a place of healing and salvation...
Sounds good Anders and I might even help you take down the Chantry but the Epic Templars stay.
