Or Justice... depending on your interpretation it was Anders' emotions which either directly or indirectly turned Justice into this demon in the first place. I want to help Justice as much as I do Anders, really. Or a little more.

Well, if qunari mages can go tongue-less then i guess Hawke can learn to live with that, too.

I wonder if they recorded  a proper dialogue lines for Hawke

I am wary of the option for Hawke to suck face with a man who may have ingested face.

Any face, or just human face? What about if he just took a bite out of the shoulder region? :P

The practical aspect of it isn't a big deal for me, my character sucked face with a guy who drank the tainted blood of evil, cannibalistic darkspawn.

Your character did it as well, and they weren't out of their mind posessed by a demon when they did it either. They didn't go on about how delicious it tasted and then went on to eat some human flesh.

Plus, they drank a little bit of it out of a goblet. It's classy if it's in a goblet

Must've taken a wrong turn, I thought this was the Anders Discussion thread. Can you point me in the right direction?

But that other guy your character sucked faces with wouldn't possibly confuse what you're slipping him in for a little snack, would he..?

I hadn't thought of that, that would make the game very interesting..

I just hope we get to deal with the whole "all templars/holy sister must die" attitude. My first Hawke (female mage) is not exactly fond of people who is bordering on fanaticism. She will be just as unwillingly to side with people who thinks "all mages must die" as with those who thinks "all templars must die".

Not to say that Anders/Vengeance is a fanatic, it's just the line about killing every Chantry-related person..

Oh wait! Did you use invisible ink, too?

Trust me. If everyone joked, laughed, grew some thicker skin, and got a sense of humor over the whole subject, it'd blow away faster than dust in the wind.

Doesn't change the fact Anders is gonna rock on with his barack on.

If it is, I don't understand how removing something about how somebody slept for X hours is important to the issue.

Yeah, I agree. Unless I'm playing a fanatic blood mage Hawke. I wonder how that relationship would go. :P

I lol'd.

So it's less gross if they're both doing it instead of just one of them? As for going on about how delicious it is, Anders doesn't do that either, given that it was Vengeance doing all that stuff.

I'll just have to hope Hawke realizes she shouldn't kiss her boyfriend when his eyes are glowing and he starts talking about how the blood will run through the streets and he is beyond mortals and whatnot.

I think Anders is a great opportunity to replay. I'd love to see what would happen if you helped him seek Vegeance or help him to get Justice back. ;D I'd hope for a difference in love scenes, but that asking too much I suppose.

Why not?  I mean, I don't swing that way, but that's some hot talk right there.

It's not a condemnation of the character or anything. Frankly, I find the whole situation with his character goddamn fascinating. I don't understand why it's humorless or so offensive to discuss it. Sorry if I don't find Anders' incredibly ****ed up situation (so bad that he's friggin eating people) to be humorous.

Because I'm taken aback there's been absolutely no progress for the last 9 hours, still pretty much saying the same things over and over. *yawn* Time to browse something else.

I think we're supposed to be disturbed by the story, not laugh it off as some funny character quirk.  I mean of course we're talking about a video game character and it's very likely any such issues with a potential romance will be fixable given this is a Bioware game.  But I don't see how that story implies we're not supposed to take it seriously if we're going to discuss DA2's Anders as a character.

Please define "progress" in a character discussion thread.

As far as I'm concerned I've seen progress in the discussion myself, in that there are plenty of perfectly reasonable perspectives regarding Anders' story.

Drinking Darkspawn blood serves a purpose, though. They become Grey Wardens, they get to fight Grey Wardens and don't do it for the sake of doing it. The thought of "drinking the blood of those creatures" frightens Ser Jory.

It's also not cannibalism in the sense that it isn't the same species and from what we know at time, Darkspawn aren't sentient. Therefor, the Grey Warden ritual is more... "okay", rather than cannibalism for the sake of cannibalism.

Demon Anders just eats people because it tastes awesome or something, all he needs is dwarven dipping sauce with 7 different elven herbal spices and he could open KIRKWALL FRIED HUMANS, as Colonel (S)Anders.

Nah dude. Not targetted to you. Targetted to a lot of people who fume and get aggitated when the subject comes up.

Some folks may find it gross. But for those who are avid Anders supports and are going to react strongly to those opinions, they need to relax. Its just a story. A creepy one, but a story nonetheless.

I agree, I liked how dark and serious the his story was. It made me feel how scared and disturbed Anders must feel himself, not really knowing what he is anymore.
