Most LIs for women from Bioware require the character to be nicey nicey goody goody overall and to them.

I'm going to throw it out there and guess that a "good" romance with Anders will require Rivalry (You can't be nicey nice to him all the time), and a "good" romance with Fenris will require friendship (Meaning, you need to be more confrontational and aggressive). I'm interested to see how this develops.

It would be nice if you could play it both ways, either by being his counter to help with his self-control, or by becoming the Bonny to his Clyde, as long as you are consistent in your approach.

I... really, really don't need to see him glowing blue when my Hawke is trying to bed him. I'd be too busy laughing to appreciate it. It would be super cool to see any mark that being run through with a sword left on him, so long as it's not a bloody gaping hole. A scar or bandage or something, sure.

I think he's too good of a healer and too much time has passed for there to be a giant hole in his chest.

@Evindell: I think Mr. Gaider mentioned that they're doing a bit of a hand-wave where if you don't pick him up in Awakenings he'll have become a Grey Warden still, just somewhere else.

I've been wondering that too, a lot of people have been saying they want him to mention the Warden or something they've said to him, but as someone who never played Awakening I'm wondering where that would leave me and my game. ;;

Thanks. I won't quote you on that, don't worry You're probably right. It looks like the Orlesian Wardens will get all the glory. *sigh* I wish I could afford to buy Awakenings, but I preordered the Signature Edition and after I payed it off I don't really have any money left over

Oh, I planned on burning the Templars with, or without Anders. My mage Hawke likes her freedom very much, and no man or woman in shiny armor is going to get in her way. Though Fenris is still my first choice (as long as he doesn't turn out to be an unlikeable bastard....I'll take likeable bastard) I will definitely have to give Anders a try. He seems like he could use some lovin'

I was just sitting around listening to my music and as soon as it came on I thought "Anders!", without hesitation. It should definitely be Hawke and Ander's theme

The more I think about it, the more I get the impression that Anders is probably going to be the one that pushes Hawke up against the wall as a lot of people have been speculating.
It'll all be rival romance with Hawke going all "No! You can't go eating Templars bad Anders!" "But I wanna!" "noooo I won't let you cuz I like you so much!" "You no boss of me!" And Anders goes all Vengeance, tosses up against the wall, then this song starts playing, and romance.

ffff, just woke from a nap where I had a dream that I was watching a gameplay video on YouTube and one of the dialogue options that came up was to threaten to set Anders' cat on fire (again). I was so frustrated when I realised it was just a dream, because I wanted to cap it and use it as proof that Pounce is still around. Damn it!

I had that EXACT thought yesterday evening! (Without that song, though.) I just had to outline a short fanfic out of it, too. Goodness gracious, DA2 has really awoken the writer in me; I couldn't wait for the game release if I didn't write about it all the time...

In other words: I can't wait for Anders and his romance.

As a general rule, the way friendship and rivalry works, is that friendship means agreeing with and supporting the follower in what *they* want to do, no matter how crazy, illogical or dangerous to self and others. Rivalry means opposing their big cause, often for the right reasons. So it's very possible to be a better friend to someone by choosing the rivalry path, since you're trying to stop them from giving in to their own self-destructive whims. It's not always the most intuitive, but definitely don't think of friendship as doing the "right" thing and rivalry as doing the "bad" thing. It's just as likely to be the other way around.

This basicly says rival Anders and he will become nice sorry kitty and friendship Anders and he will be evil mage liberator.

I think its pretty clear there was eating happening. In DA:O there was feastin' goin' round all around by Hepler's pen. I'm under the impression that if Hepler's writing, someone gets eaten.

Edit: Sucked by the way to betray Boobs in Awakening. Hated to do it! But I had my trust on The Architect that there was no other choise.

Edit: Just make it that the PC can transform into Genlock Emissary in the front of Broodmother. Do it BioWare!

He may be trying to prove somehow that it wasn't the mages fault - as a lot of the Chantry hatred against mages stems from the fact that they were allegedly the ones behind the whole Black City deal and the birth of the darkspawn.

So I said yesterday I've just started playing Awakening. I was fighting this ghost dragon thing last night, and I bring up my talents wheel (xbox) and I'm like 'lolwut? Ser Pounce-a-Lot is there'.

I was slowly chipping away at a dragon, so I wasn't about to select him just to see what happened, but afterward I did, and naaaawwwwwwww XD

Knowing what we know about Anders/Justice, it's really interesting listening to the party banter. Nate (who I'm growing to like now, btw) was asking Justice if he would need to take over another body because Kristoff's would deteriorate, and I was like XD There's so much foreboding in there ... I really do wonder if they knew they were going to do this when they wrote Awakening. I bet they did. Sneaky buggers.

It's really nice, btw, only just discovering who Anders is. It means he'll be fresh in my mind when I play DA2.

I was all happy when I still had Ser Pounce with me in Witch Hunt and Golems, but the cat didn't use its special power when I clicked on it then! Apparently he only helps when Anders asks him to.
