The first one is an...odd choice, musically. I like the second one and I love the last one!
I think we will be able to solve Anders' problem. Perhaps we will even be able to choose whether to save Anders or let Justice/Vengeance completely take over his body. Or maybe Anders will decide to sacrifice himself at a major turning point in the story. In any case, I'm pretty sure there's going to be an optional happy ending for him. Though, I don't know if I want it, to be honest... I like him dark and, well... in pain.

How could I forget Animal I Have Become? Great choice.

 I think any decision I have to make regarding helping his with his status of Abomination will have to depend on what the poor boy himself wants.
Perhaps he is content with what he becomes, and finds being demon-possessed a fair trade-off for completing what he sees as his mission, and simply asks us to leave him as he is.
Maybe he doesn't care about the possession, as long as he can have his friend back instead of Vengeance, and asks us to find a way to purge the demonic corruption.
Maybe he cares so much that he's willing to sacrifice himself as penance for his crimes, and let J/V take over fully, and asks us to kill him or let him sacrifice himself in the name of his cause.
But you can bet that if he comes to my Hawke and pleads with her to help him, free him of the possession and let him have control back, himself back, you can bet that she'd stop at nothing to destroy every last remnant of J/V, both in the Fade and out, and Maker help you if you get in her way.

Well, it's like what Ms. Helper said herself on this thread.  Sometimes to be the better "friend" we have to go against what they want, or not support their choices.

Thanks! The first one I liked mostly for the first and second verses ("somewhere along the way...") that went from hopeful to bitter to vengeance and then into madness. Obviously, the darkest of the three tunes.

My Hawke would excorcise him against his will if she had to. I can't imagine romancing him and watching him go into a downward spiral and not doing anything about it. As for what happens to Justice, that's secondary. He may hate her afterwards, but she'd still do it. Wow, that'd be hard. If you could save him, but he's so into that mindset at the end that he can't see it? Maybe eventually he'd come back to himself...

I thought of another horrible possibility.. What if the only way to save him is to force some tranquility-esque ritual to sever his connection to the Fade and Vengeance through it?

That would basically be the same as "Let him live as an abomination or kill him" choice, because Anders would almsot certainly prefer to be killed than be Tranquil.

Ack, sorry.  That was My Body is a Cage by Arcade Fire, I'd link other versions, but I don't know if they'd work for you.  I love the idea of a playlist, there's a lot of good choices for music to accompany an apostate mage possessed by a corrupted spirit of Justice!  Who knew?

Just watched Fight Club again the other night... totally didn't know the name of the song at the end! You just blew my mind a little.

And now I can't stop picturing that last scene like this: Anders -- having finally forced Vengeance/Tyler Durden out of his head -- holding hands with Lady Hawke as they watch the towers of the Chantry explode and collapse across the street from them.

LOL forever at that mental image.

Someone definitely needs to get on it to compile the giant fanmix! LOL

Your first submission makes me want to add these to the mix as well, although they're more anti-establishment than Anders-related (although, that's going hand-in-hand now, isn't it?)
