This is amazing! But poor Anders must be very tired indeed if he's turning down a naked Hawke draped all over him.Aristorum wrote...

Pfff. She's a PC, it's in her contract to have an amazing figure. Besides, somehow I don't think Anders would mind a wider figure. He seemed quite interested in the idea of a dwarf orgy.Aristorum wrote...

When Sigrun jokes that they have an orgy at the Legion of the Dead entrance ceremony

Hmm. He had a dialogue with Sigrun where she told him the Legion of Dead has an orgy when someone is recruited, and I could have sworn he sounded pleasantly surprised when she said it. He could have simply been incredulous, though. But I wouldn't put it past him.HailTheQueen wrote...

But I'll be at that part soon enough in my current game. I'll be on the lookout for that banter!

Doesn't have to be a fetish, maybe he's just really open-minded. I wonder if he says the same flirty dialogues if the Warden is a dwarf? I'd try it with my DN, but I don't have DA:A.HailTheQueen wrote...

EDIT: Aaaaand, leggywillow said just what I was wondering! Also, I hate these forums for eating my posts, it's getting so I have to copy everything I type before I hit send because I don't know when my text will just disappear. ;_;

I don't think that's particularly the case. I think Anders is just always down for a good party, and orgies are the definition of good parties, right?

Agreed. Exhibit A? Namaya. I think Anders is the type of guy who digs Women (and maybe dudes, too) and doesn't get too fussed about what they look like as long as they're willing and he's enjoying himself.

I like how everybody uses Namaya as proof Anders could really care less about appearance.

It's either that or proof that Anders is a heavy drinker. Those are the only 2 excuses for Namaya.

LOL. I think he was also using Namaya, because he thought she could help him find his phylactery. I don't think he was malicious about it, but it obviously was upsetting enough to her that she helped set up that trap. So he's definitely the type who takes advantage of whatever situation he finds himself in. Which is why it's interesting to me that he's now helping refugees in Kirkwall. That's not the old Anders way of doing things.

I'm pretty sure it's guilt from the events of the short story making him work at the refuge. I think maybe he's trying to 'clean his slate' so to speak, or maybe he thinks if he helps these people then it could be considered a bloodless form of Justice and would somehow sate the demon inside of him? I don't know. I don't think he's doing it because he really just felt so bad he had to help them, because I agree he's not that selfless. I think it's an attempt to quiet his conscience.TeenZombie wrote...

EDIT: Which is not to say his reasons are completely selfish either, I just think there's more to it than simple compassion.

If there's one thing Kirkwall has in great suppy: it's refugees. We all know that with refugees come bad living conditions, and from that a good bit of in-fighting and disease spreading. Anders may look out for himself most of the time, but in Awakening it seemed obvious that if he would always try to help others if he can.
I'm sure guilt plays into it too, but I see him doing it when we find him just because it's the best way for him to help innocents that are suffering, and maybe he doesn't know what else to do with himself right now.

Good point. Anders has never seemed like the type to make any concrete plans, I wouldn't be surprised if him working there started with healing one or two people and it just snowballed.Amagoi wrote...
That's what I'm thinking. It doesn't seem in Anders' personality to heal these people for a self-serving purpose, like to gain a better reputation for apostate mages to help him bring down the circle. I'm thinking it was a situation he just kind of fell into.
