Oh boo. It's entirely possible that Greg Ellis recorded his lines as Anders, but they decided to go with someone else later on, and had someone else re-record, without informing him. I will be very disappointed if they've done that for no apparent reason. I can understand why Mika Simmons was not brought back for Isabela, but that was because she had played a different major character, and they wanted to stay away from comparisons. Hopefully this isn't the case, though, and like others have said, Adam Howden is voicing Vengeance. Funny that Greg Ellis wouldn't get main billing, though, if that were the case...

Well, it's really hard to say. It wouldn't be the first time in the history of the world where credit was not properly given to a voice actor (though this is a unique case that involves possession). I've listened to both the voice actors and have listened to the two Anders clips that are available to us -- The one of him in Kirkwall does sound like it could be Adam Browden, however, the one of him in the Deep Roads sounds like Greg Ellis.

Well, I haven't had a soul-crushing blow to my expectations of Anders in a good... 8 days now. I guess I was due.

Probably the whole LI reveal in which he ingested fleshand  killed a bunch of Wardens as Vengeance.

Typing that just sent a chill down my spine. I just know his whole character arc is going to be epic mind****ery for those of us who have been hardcore fangirling him since Awakening.

No, he's not.  The speculation is from the voice acting credits list, which went out with the demo.

I'm still trying to be optimistic about a happy ending for Anders, even if it involves Vengeance being killed/exorcised and Anders no longer remembering Hawke. It would still be sort-of happy. I can't help but think it might be tragic though...

Gaider just confirmed in the voice actor thread. Anders will NOT be voiced by Greg Ellis.  They probably started recording for him and decided against it.  Probably went for someone a little more somber? 

Well, that clears that up.  We still love Mr. Ellis, but we now must move on!  *waterfall tears*

On the other hand, Mr. Browden sounds like an excellent voice actor.  I really liked Silas.

The accent and voice is part of what made him Anders. I hope the new VA isn't too much of a departure, or I will have to go sulk with Awakening and glare at this pretender.

He voiced Silas in Leliana's song, and Constable Aidan in Awakening.  He doesn't have a large credit list, but I'm looking into another role he played on a television show.

I was skeptical of Greg Ellis to begin with. That trailer sounded nothing like him. Some claimed it did, others suspected it might be the vengeance voice. So, yeah.



Sad to hear he's not doing it again, personally. I thought he had fine delivery for a humorous character. And am hoping that trend continues on both fronts.

Sigh. What was the point of bringing back Anders at all? They might as well have created a new human male mage for this role. I'm still trying to be hopeful, but the reason I started feeling excited at all (instead of cautiously optimistic) was because of Anders being on the team. Now I don't even know...
