I think of all songs, the song that is already in the game's credits fit perfectly for all the characters and for the theme of the game.
Ironic that it actually has "Varric's Theme" in parentheses at the end of the title of the song.

If that's the case it's starting to really sound like Greg Ellis just couldn't pull off possessed Anders the way that they wanted, I think.

To throw us off the scent, of course! We get distracted by this, and they take the opportunity to flee before we realise we've been had!

Joking, of course. I really don't know what could be so spoiler-related, unless it's just a case of Howden playing possessed Anders for a majority of the game, and Ellis throwing in a few lines of 'normal' Anders right at the end. Or in a flashback. As much as I'd like to say, "oh, don't mind spoilers, you can tell us!" we're still going to have to wait two bloody weeks to find out.

The suspense is killing me!

I thought I was going to feel better once the demo was out... I'm better and worse at the same time xD

edit: now that I'm not so in denial I went back again, compared the clip of Adam's voice to the DA2 Anders clip, then grabbed a Greg video and did the same. Now I'm pretty sure it is Adam in the clip and my ears were just hearing what they wanted to earlier. It's had to judge from such a short clip, but as was stated many times already Greg is at least in the game somewhere

Hm, we've seen so far in action Carver and Bethany, Aveline and Varric, Isabela and Fenris. The most mysterious characters are Anders and Merrill, both are mages. For me this makes them the sweetest candy in the game and I also suspect that they are very important for the plot and their quests are probably huge spoilers.

I wish they'd show us Anders and Merrill in the party though. So far I've seen a very short clip of Anders in combat and nothing of Merrill. Very curious.

We know that the first quest where we meet Merrill is a huge spoiler and I agree with you on Anders. The fact that we've hardly seen him, even in screenshot form, and have only heard one line from him either means he's dreadfully dull or there's very little about him they can show without giving away something major.

I'm secretly hoping that one of the reasons we've seen so little of the game past the escape from Lothering (besides a few snippets of non-essential quests) is because they want it all to be a surprise. At this point last year, I could probably have sat down and plotted out Awakening based on the information we'd been given and I would be very, very close to correct. With DA2, despite the fact that we know the ending, so to speak, I have no clue what's going to happen or why.

We couldn't see Anders' skills and talents and he was silent except that "sanctum of healing" 30 seconds.

Of course, we are happier than Merrill's fans who don't have even this.

I suspect that we won't find out much about him in the next couple of weeks unless it comes from a third-party source, like a game review or something. 13 days, people... I am so psyched!

He seemed an egocentric blood mage, he was rude to me and I didn't particularly want him in my group in Awakening.

So when Alistar came for him I was happy to hand him over.

Guess we'll see how it goes this time.. if he has changed ^^;

Ok, I can survive without their spoilery quests, but they can just be on the screen and look awesome Maybe say something. Because I'm curious how Anders sounds now when he's not "I am Justice! I am Vengeance! Bwahahaha!" And of course I'm curious if he still loves cats.

He was a Spirit Healer and adamantly against Blood Magic.

You don't have to take him with you, you can let him go (although he comes back to help you, which means he's at least a thoughful egocentric rude guy).

And things have definitely changed. Although if you thought he was rude in Awakening, I can't imagine you'll find him more pleasant in DA2.

Yeah, I actually have a feeling he's going to be kind of a jerk about some things. This is what rivalries are for, however.

Next time they show a quest/gameplay, etc with Hawke as a warrior or rogue, I'd love them to pick Anders and Merrill. I don't really want to see their quests yet (as you say, spoilery!) but just to see them in action and hear them speak. I'm sure a marvelous snarky comment from Anders will assuage all my fears about him!

Oh, I'd love it if he started cooing at some stray cat!

It'd be even worse if Anders encounters a stray and Vengeance starts saying they must have vengeance on unjust owner that left poor kitty on the streets.

It would be adorable if you could give Anders a cat again... but I'm afraid Vengeance might want to snack on it
