Hm, in that new game play video, did anyone notice that when Anders throws out auto-attack magic, there seems to be gauntlet hands of energy that fly out? Or did someone already notice?

Walking Bomb in Origins had a similar effect, although it was just a hand that drifted towards the target. It's entirely possible it's a spell and not his own special thing. Although...cool, no matter what.

@Miri1984 I still maintain Anders has a secret warrior fetish. He'd appreciate a woman who can protect him from templars and carry him when he's sleepy and/or the ground is muddy.

nah, the "hand" appears everytime he "shoots"(?) at something....even when he does that tricky back flip look how kewl i am combo trick that all mages do that "hand" apears in the mob like...i dono..." ima rip u appart" kinda way ?

I think he has a not-so-secret BRAND fetish But then, so do I. I never play female warriors, only female rogues. I did one playthrough of Origins with a two handed warrior but I couldn't really get into it. So if I want to romance Anders he has to go for a mage or a rogue. Just habit I suppose

He sounds more like a rogue fetishist to me. Someone who can actually teach him how to escape from prisons and stay escaped.

Hehe, btw, I love how in that new video Anders is always hiding behind Hawke's wide manly back and avoids the damage. He was hit only 2 or 3 times, when the dragon casted some sort of "mass pull".
And The Hand of Justice? Cool!

@Miri, you might want to try a warrior, I did it in demo and they are much better than in Origins. They move better and their talents are really useful. You can also teach Anders ice spells and give your Hawke a great sword and they will shatter their enemies with cross-class combos. I'm going to use that a lot for my mage Hawke and Carver, but I may also try to finish the game as a warrior this time, performing cross-class combos with Anders.

Edit: I think I've read somewhere that the type of damage depends on the staff. "The Hand of Justice" may simply be a staff with spiritual damage.
