Thank you for the transcript, Mynnymac.  Did anyone else notice that it seems like there's no way to tell Anders to beat it, right after meeting him?  I had thought he would just give the map to Hawke, but it appears that he's essential for the Deep Roads.  Interesting.

Oh, poor Anders. He really seems to dislike the Wardens now. I hope that doesn't include his friends during Awakening. And where was the Warden during all this time? I hope at some point he says something about the Warden's whereabout that follows the Warden's story (like if she married Alistair, then your warden wasn't around because she returned to Denerim), or otherwise that the Warden had to go to Weisshaupt or something. I won't accept that she let all this happen to her best friend!

Also, that flirt line was really... cringe-worthy. I'll probably pick it, being completely shameless in DA, but still. Very inappropriate chatting up a guy who's just been through a traumatic experience like that. Especially when you've only just met him and found out he's a sort-of abomination.

Oh well, I want to play even more now! I can't wait any longer!

Neither can I, I planned my first Hawke to be sweet but firm, she would NEVER flirt like that right away. It'll be interesting to see if Anders approaches her instead. I hope there's some more subtle lines down the road.

LOL!  I'm hoping that he left Pounce with Nate.  I bet Nate hated Pounce and complained about having to look after some smelly cat... but then in the end he comes to love the cat and doesn't want to give him up.  I think that would make Anders just as happy, knowing that Pounce was safe and happy and with an awesome dude.

Also, I love the bolded part.    Hawke really isn't going to be subtle, is she?

Re: Pounce, do you guys think that they were playing with a pre-set Origin, rather than an imported one? I'm wondering, if we import a Warden who completed Awakening and gave Pounce to Anders and/or ended it with high approval, if that part of the conversation might change. He could instead say something like, "I didn't even have a chance to get my cat before I had to leave".

I believe the guy said he imported his save from Origins. 

My guess is that he only actually mentions Ser Pounce in the first place with the right imported save.

Then I am determined to believe that he either didn't play Awakening, or he gave Anders to the Templars at the first opportunity. That's right! I can rewrite the facts if I want to! You aren't the boss of me, Bioware!

It's frustrating, because a lot of people have different ideas of what is considered a spoiler and what isn't. I count the above topic of conversation here as a spoiler, but it's kind of saturated into the thread now and there's not much to be done about it. Others would only consider major plot points like deaths to be spoilers and are happy to discuss anything else without warning.
Not a grouch at those that do, but I have had to fling a hand over my eyes and Alt+F4 out of otherwise innocent-looking threads a couple of times. 

At least it hasn't crept too far into signatures yet?

That happened to me yesterday. The thread seemed quite innocent, just speculating on something we already knew, until someone alluded to something from the Super Spoiler thread and suggested we go read it.
Now I can't stop speculating over things that might or might not happen.
Thinking I might have to start the retreat from BSN fairly early.

Yes, exactly! I used to haunt the Fen fen thread for pretty art, but I've been smacked in the face by unwanted info too many times there now, so I'm sticking to just this thread for general discussion. Anytime I venture into the main body of the forums I just read what the BioWare commenters have to say and avoid the general populace. I'd leave entirely, but I've got another 8 days to wait and you guys are a fun way to kill time.

That said, two books I've been waiting for were released yesterday, and I'm going to go pick them up in a couple of hours - hooray for distractions!

Beyond very simple spoilers about party members that have been known for ages now, Anders is really the only one I've looked more into, if not only because the video yesterday was full of spoilers that were generally already known since his reveal. I mostly just wanted to finally hear his new voice, as hard as that was to do.
Plus some game mechanics, but I'm generally big spoiler free.

I just watched that video and i am little disappoint. He sounds so sad, i want old funny anders back!!! Don´t get me wrong, i still think he going to be awesome, but it seems that bioware made too many changes of his character.

I wouldn't exactly be a bucket full of sunshine after what happened, but he still has some of that charm when he talks about his cat.
