I'm almost certain that it's an older build. Zevran didn't become an overweight middle-aged elf in under 10 years, unless the Crow guildmaster leads a very cushy lifestyle. If that model made it into the final build I will be shocked. And will download a model replacement for the first time in my DA playing history. 

Yeah, it reminds me of the distortion(?) of Isabela's face when the first pictures came out. Like his features are too small for his face? Not sure how to explain it, but I agree - I think it's an older build that'll be cleaned up before the release.

Perhaps it's part of the plot.  Hawke rescues him from a swarm of bees.  That might explain the puffy face and shrunken-looking eyes.
To keep things on topic... Anders, however, translated over to DA2 just fine.  I prefer his DA2 build, in fact.    So sexy.  So squee-worthy.

 Or maybe he needed Anders to heal said bee stings?

For the design discussion I also heartily approve of Anders' new look, even Isabella has grown on me though I think I could tweak her further given a toolset. But back to Anders he has a particular softness about his features that wasn't there before that's contrasting well with his harder lines.... And.. I.. lost my train of thought.

It's times like this that I desperately wish I had the slightest bit of artistic ability, because there are so many doodles of him I'd like to do. I shall have to stick to the magnificent images that the rest of the community provides.
Speaking of which, we need art for this page!

fffff, I thought for a second you were posting a link to an obituary, with that comment. Nearly gave me a heart attack! At least we know he'll still be around voicing other NPCs if the credits are anything to go by.

On that note....I kinda hope we get similar Tevinter robes again in DA2. Or will they give us blah robes to keep Anders' look "unique," I wonder?

  Win!  I love this characterization of Seb: serious but also rather clueless.  I also have a feeling that the Justice-y side of Anders will really like Seb; I can picture them being friends, talking about VENGEANCE! and all that.  I also love the characterization we're slowly giving Carver: scandalized by his sibling's crazy carrying-on. I desperately hope there's some banter to reflect that.

Anders: Phew, I'm tired.  I could use a break.
Carver: We've barely walked at all!
Anders:  ::smug::  I had a long night.

You know what I'd really like? We're stuck in year 7, and Anders is still giving us the "I can't be with you; what if I hurt you?" speech. Meanwhile, Carver has brought home Merrill, Isabela, Aveline, Leliana, Meredith, Cassandra and Zevran. In the last month.
