I actually dont want Anders to be bi. In Origins I romanced Zevran, and I dont know why, but I found it incredibly wierd. Cuase he brought up that he has been with men before and I told myself to stay in character cause I freaking out inside... I just be able to take Anders be bi, thats all.. lol

That reminds me: If Anders is bi I sure hope it won't be like with Zevran in Origins where he shamefully confessed to the female warden and her only options are pretty much "OMG,that's disgusting" and "let's forget about it".

And I'm not just being annoyed with those answer possibilities because I want to tell bi!ANders that I find it hot and then convince him to put on a show with Fenris for my Hawke

My first is a DW rogue who I'm actually afraid is going to be the rival of everyone. I mean, I don't want everyone to hate her, but she's short, snarky, pissed off at the world, and her favourite hobby is killing things and taking their stuff. She'd protect Bethany to the death, but otherwise couldn't give a flying **** about any of the politics or factions of Kirkwall, and I'm not sure how well that will go over with companions. 

Now that there's no reason to metagame to gain approval, I'm just going to let the Friendship/Rivalry paths go as they will and see what happens. Either way we're promised interactions, and it's nice not to have to suck up to someone you dislike for extra quest XP (Y HELO THAR MORRIGAN). She might not end up with Anders due to conflicting personalities, but it would be cheating to change her just to bed him. Unless I can be deliberately duplicitous about seducing him for her own gain, but BW probably didn't make things that subtle. 

My second run will be a rather nicer mage, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how the scales will compare, and how the companions will respond to different treatments. I'm already curious about becoming Friends with Carver - what kind of treatment does he really like?

I've never planned a character before playing a game at least once.

However, this time around, I've actually decided to base a character around that cringe-inducing flirt line from the 1UP video.  I plan on making a plain Jane rogue, who feels overshadowed by her beautiful sister and compensates by blatantly and awkardly flirting with everyone. 

And since my mage is already spoken for, facepalm!Hawke will be Anders' girl.

hee hee I also imagined my Hawke to be rivals with Bethany (even if she dies), Beth strikes as that annoying pretty, pretty sister who steals your boyfriend/crush and lays blame on what she does wrong on you and never gets in trouble with mom ect..

Already got her planned.  Meghan Shepard will be renamed Margaret Hawke.  It'll probably be a rivalry romance.

Well I haven't been here in a little while. From what I gathered in other threads, I've read possibilities of Anders being Bi but even maybe all LI. I've come to terms anyway with either Fenris or Anders being Bi. I didn't find Zevran to be too appealing in that regard but I figured it could be romantic if your LI fell for you regardless of sexual orientation.

I figure it this way - they're Hawke-sexual. There's only one Hawke in each universe, so the LIs like Hawke, not necessarily guys or girls. Could be down to personality. As Anders says, he didn't expect anyone to be interested after learning what he is. Hawke is interested.

That's how I reasoned Leliana liking my two completely different Wardens at any rate.

In a way I am. I have a 2H reaver named Wilhelmina. Since I want to write a fic about her, I'm trying to conceive her outside of her potential relationships and she's looking like she might not fit with Anders and, if she does work with him, it will be a rival romance. If the rival romance w. him ends up as a big, heartbreaking fail then I'll have to try again with another character. I've already been waiting a year for the opportunity to woo him in game, I suppose I can make it for a week longer if I have to.

I haven't been following this thread too closely (threads longer than 2 pages make me anxious ), but the the idea of the Anders playlist is awesome. Thanks for the link, there's some good picks on that list.

For some reason when I heard the following song again a few days ago I start to get Anders vibes from it. It's not a conventional pick, and I think it probably more an introspective thing on my part, so I'm not really suggesting it for the playlist, but damn it, Powderfinger are awesome and deserve to be shared regardless.

The company that makes the strategy guide released the preview online today, and it just went up in the Super Spoiler thread. There was Anders info  I don't know whether I should post the link here, since I don't want to tempt people too much and it seems to be relatively spoiler free in here- if you don't want to check the Spoiler thread but still want it, message me. (Unless no one cares, I'll post the download link)
