It's interesting to hear that Anders isn't sympathetic towards blood mages. Maybe he and Merrill will be less friendly than I first imagined. I also figured that he's an 'emotional' guy, but still, if 'emotional' means 'like Alistair'... Hmm.

Added tease: I smeared out TWO names. Muhaha!

I found the same things interesting. The blood mage distaste really makes me think that my character would have a far larger chance of going the Friendship route- as far as I can tell, the only thing I don't approve of is massacring Templars. (Usually.)

And I guess for all the flirting in Awakening, he's a one-woman guy at heart. That's what I took from it, at least.

Two names? Gah! I'm going to be so curious now. Although, looking at some of the other character threads... noo, I should stay away from those. Especially the Fenris one. The spoilers, the spoilers! Also knew I shouldn't have clicked on that 'returning characters' thread. Must control self.

Yeah, I'm hoping that him not approving of extremes with magic will make it easier to build a friendship with him than just the 'kill all templars' or 'imprison all mages' thing. I like complexity.

I always assumed he wasn't interested in serious relationships before because being an apostate meant he couldn't settle. But maybe when he finally does start a proper relationship, he's a one woman/man guy.

He might also consider cheating to be "unjust." Probably a combination of these things.

Played the demo, first as a rogue then mage. I've decided, I'm gonna be a mage.
One because mage seems so badass now and two, because I'm planning to romance Anders..
And I don't want Bethany to get in the way! I love reading posts on here about the possible 'friction' between Carver and Anders, hilarious

I've pre-ordered the SE and because the 11th is a Friday, I may have to wait all weekend too!

A lot of GameStops are doing midnight releases if you can switch it (unless it's SE, I guess you wouldn't want to switch that up)

Also, for those of you interested in actually getting the guide, Amazon.com has SE for 20 bucks, regular for 15. I'll get it one day after release, but since I like doing the first run with no guide, it's a good deal:happy:

It's being released here in Australia on the 10th. I could almost handle waiting if it weren't for one thing: my fiancé, who is also a DA fan, is currently on a trip to the US. And I know that when I log onto Ventrilo to chat to him on Saturday that he'll already be half way through the game. And he'll be teasing me with it and giving me fake spoilers and being completely infuriating. That bastard.

I figure it this way - they're Hawke-sexual. There's only one Hawke in each universe, so the LIs like Hawke, not necessarily guys or girls. Could be down to personality. As Anders says, he didn't expect anyone to be interested after learning what he is. Hawke is interested.

That's how I reasoned Leliana liking my two completely different Wardens at any rate.

IF Anders is an option for a male, I hope they do it with subjective sexuality - ie if Hawke is male and interested, Anders has always been bi. Any other situation, and he has always been straight.

I say this because while I fully support s/s options in games, I really want Anders for my Hawke, and since I will not date a bisexual guy, neither will she.

And I do hope Fenris is a male s/s too

Aye, it's SE. I don't wanna switch anything with my order. I could potentially change the shipping on it, but it's already costing my parents $70....(it's my birthday present)... I try to not get a guide unless I absolutely need one, and then I prefer using something like GameFAQs. Cheaper.
