I disagree. I can see Anders very clearly as a Bisexual. In the circle, mages aren't permitted to have relationships with anyone. It is completely discouraged. There are no clear cut models for a healthy heterosexual or homosexual relationship. I imagine romantic friendships are frequent within the circle. Whether or not sex is actually acted upon (I highly doubt it, since the Mages are watched CONSTANTLY, even if Anders did make a joke about wearing robes... I doubt he was being honest), romance and love between two people who are deeply oppressed seems more likely despite Anders giggling and joking about his romantic excursions (which may or may not have actually existed. I always thought he made light of his situation, when it was actually quite dark and sad).

I can see Anders not caring about gender because of what the Circle puts mages through. When you are in love, you are in love. I've had many romantic friendships I was unable to act upon. They were dear.

I agree with you completely. Especially in the situation. I think him being bisexual is completely in character. To some people, gender is the same as hair colour, not an issue.

It's a way to brew coffee. You gind the beans corse, and then steep it with water. You need a press to do it. I thought I was immune to coffee until I drank a few cups of pressed coffee at 9pm. That combine with a delayed sleep phase equaled an all nighter/dayer...heh

To each their own. I have a feeling it won't be handled as Zevran was. I think it will be specific to the gender of hawk. I'm not sure if he will talk about his escapades with men.

If people have issues with the bi relationships in the game, then simply don't play them. It's not like the romances are mandatory, and nobody is being forced into a s/s relationship.

Actually, you're quite correct, I remember reading a thread while back where one of the writers said that Circle mages felt they needn't be confined by cultural morals since they're raised outside of that society.

So a more pansexual, moment-of-comfort approach is probably the standard for Circle mages.
(Gonna go fish through the forums to find the thread I'm talking about)

No offense taken  Some straight ladies are icked by the idea of their romantic interest being with guys. Others not so much. Its preference, not segregation in my opinion.

In my opinion, Anders will be the kind of guy that needs to be wanted/appreciated, no matter WHAT gender. He probably will take anyone's shoulder to cry on Male or female.
