I'm not going to lie: I'm trying to complete another playthrough of DA:O before Tuesday. I'm going as quickly as possible for a few reasons: to make sure I have at least one import wih the more morally grey choices to see how it affects DA2, and so I can play Awakening again and see Anders (yes I know I can start Awakening with an Orlesian Warden, but it's not the same).

Tuesday cannot come fast enough.

I'm trying to finish one before Tuesday too!  I doubt I'll make it.  She's stuck in Orzammar right now, and I'm having a hard time mustering the will to get through the Deep Roads again.  There's no way she'll make it to Awakening, but I don't think she'd make that choice anyway.  I'm planning on doing the "drunk Alistair" ending, with her leaving to travel after Origins instead of sticking around to do DLC.

I don't think I'll make it, but I need to try!

The Deep Roads is always the longest push for me -- I feel like I need to get it over with in one go or else I'll never muster the motivation to do the rest of it. ): I hope I feel differently about the Deep Roads in DA2.

A gentle, fluttering breeze blew into Rose's open window.  She hugged the borrowed fur shawl to her shoulders.  It was much too big for her, but she didn't care.  She got up to close the window, still graceful even in the dead of night.  As she shut the windtunnel of a window, she noticed a familiar figure approaching her door.  Anders, of course.  Rose pulled on her knitted socks and leather boots, unlatching the door to greet the mage.  

She looked a mess, hair disshoveled and clothes in disarray.  But he didn't care.  To him, she was more beautiful than Andraste herself.  Of course, he had only seen dramatized statues and paintings of the prophet. 
"Anders, it's probably one in the morning.  I hope you didn't come by for tea and biscuits." She mused in her usual jovial nature. 
"Tea and cookies, of course!" He chuckled, smirking playfully.  This earned a playful eyeroll from Rose.
"Come in." She offered, stepping out of the way for him to enter.  Anders smirked coyly at his fur shawl, which adorned Rose's small shoulders. 
"I came for my shawl, and to give you the maps!" He added, rumaging through his pack to find the Warden maps.  
"Mhmm, this couldn't have waited?"  She asked groggily.

"Nope, Rosey!"  He said jubilantly.  Rose's cheeks flushed pink at her nickname.  Anders plopped down into one of her rickedy chairs, laying the map flat on the table.  Their gazes met briefly, quickly snapping away.  She sat across from him, pulling on her reading glasses to scan over the map.  Anders nervously twiddled his thumbs, "We need to talk." He finally blurted.  "About us." He added hastily.

Rose was caught off guard, her bright green eyes widening with surprise.  "About us...?  I, uhm..." She trailed off, biting her lip anxiously.  Anders clenched his fist in frustration.  Why was she so hard to talk to?! He asked himself.  "Look, Rosey.  I lo- I like you.  Alot.  Sorry." He muttered, looking hurt by her hesitancy.  
"Anders...I...Trust me, the feeling is mutual.  Very mutual.  But what we're doing is dangerous.  We fight for a living, basically."  She rambled, just as awkward and hasty as him.  

Their gazes met again.  There was desire and longing in his eyes.  He wanted her, and she him.  "I guess there's only one way to settle this?" He mused, a bit more confident now.  
"Definetly."  She nodded assuredly.  Anders stood, and in one step his lips were upon hers.  "Forever?" She asked softly.
"Definetly." He echoed.    

I believe this was lost in the lovely fanart.

I'm doing a male human warrior runthrough with a lot of nice-guy choices, to counterbalance my main dalish female. Nasty piece of work she was, though she did mellow a bit during Awakening.

Male warrior is currently at the Landsmeet so I should get everything done on time. Here's hoping. I have until Friday...

Ah, okay. Thanks for taking the initiative.  Hopefully this will resolve the issue.

I'm not sure. Religious disillusionment isn't always a bad thing, it can be pretty liberating. That being said, it can also be pretty devastating.

Obviously he has a problem with the Chantry as an establishment, but I don't know if he's extremely devout. I'm not sure what being an abomination means for an afterlife, though!

I'm trying to finish my one and only 'main' playthrough on PC before Tuesday, but you know what? It isn't going to happen. I just got Rift, and I am working most of the days leading up to this, so... heh. Owell. I just can't muster the energy to go through Origins again. I beat it a few times on PS3, and have almost finished PC, but I just can't manage it. Bleh. Need a save editor or something.

Edit: *thought she was in Fenris thread* ..tab fail? Oh well, point stands! I like Anders, too, anyway, and am thinking more heavily on romancing him instead, anyway.

I think it'll mostly effect his stance on the chantry rather than his faith.

In Awakening he knew the chantry had to be involved, because the mages breaking away from the chantry was a very BAD IDEA. That was at a time where he mostly only disliked the Templars and what they did, but from the little bit we know...

He seems to want to tear the chantry down now, which is very different to his previous beliefs. 

I think he'll keep his faith though, because like in this day and age, you can believe in a God/Faith without wanting anything to do with what people turn it into. So yeah... faith I think he'll keep, while his thoughts on the chantry are now changed and tossed out the window.

I did the Deep Roads after abandoning Redcliffe and doing some sidequesting, and I put it on an easy setting just to get through it quickly.  Sad, I know.

Anders says he 'used to be a good little Andrastian' - that seemed to indicate to me that he'd already had his crisis of faith. Not sure when - perhaps when he was dragged off to the Circle Tower?

That's pretty much how I see it as well. He never struck me as having a problem with the idea of Andraste and all that she accomplished, but rather found it ironic that her followers used her example in the ways that they have in the years since her death.

??? You are free to be straight and be happily straight all you please. Just don't be a jerk about people loving someone you don't particularly approve of.

For the record, I am a happily straight girl that just so happens to get along with people who are not!
