Now guys, I've just watched the Anders companion video and I'm rather mifed
the way his attitude shifted regarding Grey Wardens. =( And even worse
is the Ser pounce-a-lot comment. Poor kitten../../../../images/forum/emoticons/sad.png
But
than came to mind: this is a fresh non-transfer playthrough, maybe,
just maybe, he's diffrent if you transfer the build-up you made
in Awakening and he'll hopefully be more cheerful and even have his
kitten back (prolly not as item usage as in Awakening, but atleast he'll
be with him ^^).

What do you guys think?

It's in the game guide, I don't think a dev said anything. Seb is a chaste LI.

Honestly... I have doubts. No matter which save file you bring, it doesn't change his mini-story and what happened that brought him to be alone and rejected by the grey wardens.

Karl is Anders' former lover? Hmm, well there's no accounting for taste, but I think the fact that Anders' former relationships are with ugly people is quite sweet. It suggests personality is important to him. The issues with Anders in his recruitment make more sense now too. And, this is confirmation then that all LI are bi? I knew it!

Also, Cullen is back? I wonder how that will even work. In my canon playthrough, he's (according to gossips in Witch Hunt) been sent to rehab somewhere. In another playthrough, he's the strict Knight-Commander to replace Greagoir. And in yet another playthrough, he's just a lunatic murderer on the run. How on earth is he going to end up being portrayed in DA2?

LOL I was also talking about how not cute I thought Karl was and got called shallow in the M/M thread. I guess that's what I get for not filtering that much. But I was laughing so hard when you said ugly. lol I'm sure Karl was a sweet guy....like older uncle sweet~

Anyway, I have to say from what I saw of Cullen, I don't like him anymore. He's just.....I don't want to spoil but I wouldn't think about romance or anything with him when he thinks like that. You'll know what I mean when you meet him in the game.....I wonder what would happen if he ran away crazy in my playthrough?

I hope you're wrong, what would be the point of transfers, if you can't affect how people will act/react in future, it worked pretty well with ME2, even for sidequest transfers and I'd really hate to see a character who was so cheery and brought a smile on your face (especially if paired with Oghren X) ) to become  a brokendown man =(
so like I said, the Anders I was was prolly because of the non-transfer playthrough

That's not necessarily true. There are certain decisions in Origins/Awakening/DLC that definitely carries over to DA2. It's just that Anders' shift in personality is set and no amount of transferring will change that about him. Though, Ms. Hepler confirmed that he retains a bit of his snarkiness, so he's not always going to be broody and drab.
