Now I want him even more.

Not your job to judge it really. Go watch the eternal flame and pray. The nearest chantry is over that way ->
Not your job either. DA: the land of grey and grey morality. I don't think we'll ever see a situation that is 100% objectively "good" or "bad."

Of course not. As I said, it wasn't intentional. I realize this. It doesn't change the fact that it was Anders' rage that warped Justice into a demon, something that was one of his greatest fears in Awakening.Miri1984 wrote...
@Calla I wouldn't be surprised if there's a quest to return Justice to himself. And Anders agreed to become his host, he didn't "screw Justice over". Neither of them could have known what would happen.

I took you as a templar and just joked. Nice you did not take it seriously.

IMO it's more like they're the two friends who think they get along well and make the move to become roommates and then realize they hate each other, but they both signed a lease. Anders is a slob and Justice is the one leaving passive-aggressive notes on the fridge and being all OCD about how the dishes are supposed to be put up.Threeparts wrote...
Sure. Possession is a spirit in another's body, regardless of the intent. And in Anders' case, it's like you invited over a dear friend to stay in your house for a week while she looks for a new place, and then it turns out that she's moving in long-term, and so are her three teenage kids, two dogs and the parrot that spends all day imitating the squeaky washing machine, and now you've got dirty socks all over the living room floor, the spare room smells like teenage boy and her ex comes around every Saturday at 3am drunkenly declaring his love for her.
A little more than you bargained for, and now you're stuck.

I'm actually playing through the Blackmarsh bits of Awakening now (OMG the POIGNANCY) and it's actually really interesting listening to Justice's dialogue. There's a LOT of indications that he's not actually just after Justice. When he talks to Aura in the Chantry it's all about vengeance. He tells Anders "Strike a blow against your oppressors". I think Justice is a little bit confused over which is which too be honest. It's not surprising he gets warped.
It's possible there's more to the story than a little solitary confinement. No doubt we'll hear more of it once we finally get to play. (Move faster, time!)Threeparts wrote...
If Anders' hatred was enough to change Justice so dramatically, I'm wondering if there's more to his story in the Circle than he ever told our Wardens about. He's awfully flippant about it - even about his year in solitary isolation - and while it was obvious he didn't like the templars, I never would have guessed that his hatred burned so bright.
Was he just good at acting relatively care-free while secretly harbouring that strength of feeling? Was his mistreatment (or mistreatment he witnessed) by the Chantry more cruel than he ever let on to us? I'm not fond of having to 'fix' companions, but it seems a possible direction if the hate of this apparently mellow personality was strong enough to corrupt Justice.

What if
Going down Anders friendship path brings out the real Anders
And going down his rivalry path brings out more Justice
O_o. That would be really cool with a romance also.

The original lore had tranquils being branded on the forehead with lyrium. Makes me think the man standing behind him in the screenshot where his eyes are glowing is the friend.Aris Ravenstar wrote...
Personally, I'm curious to find out who this friend was that was made tranquil. I reeeeeally hope if Anders IS an LI, that this wouldn't be a girlfriend that he later compares Hawke to. The line "you remind me of her" is my biggest BioWare pet peeve ever.

When you first meet him if you choose the dialogue "That's inhuman!" regarding the dead Templars and his flippant attitude towards them he gives quite a bitter reply. I can definitely believe that he's using humour to cover how much he hates them. I also think he's probably a little bit giddy with relief at the reprieve your warden gives him (if you accept him into the wardens, that is).

I had a thought while I was discussing LI's with the Fengirls.
Do you guys remember that little girl (whose name escapes me) in Jade Empire that had those demons within her. Well what if you had a similiar moment with Anders like when you get to chose what demon gets to permanently possess her? What if for a personal quest you get to go in the Fade and decide which version of Justice gets to live?
Just a thought

Hmm, I don't understand. Why would him need to hide he hates templars and chantry? Tell me one reason.
