But, is Anders dead and sustained by Justice, or just body-sharing? If he's dead (in the same way as Wynne) then wouldn't he die too without a spirit to keep him alive?
It makes me wonder why nothing like this ever happened with Wynne and her spirit. Although she doesn't seem to have any particularly extreme negative emotions about anything, she did seem to have various regrets that got to her quite deeply (like the Aneirin one, her nightmare in the Fade, and general feelings about the post-revolt Circle, not to mention if you let Irving die). Wouldn't her spirit get corrupted by regret?
I don't believe Anders is dead. Wynne wasn't actually dead either, she was brought back from the
brink of death and the energy of the spirit was what was keeping her from slipping over the edge. I don't know how long Kristoff's body had been dead before Justice possessed it, but his conversations with Nathaniel made it clear that the body would continue to decay. Since Anders looks remarkably healthy in the images we've seen, I think it's safe to say that he made it through Awakening in one piece and invited Justice in to save the spirit, rather than the spirit saving him.
Why Wynne's spirit wasn't also corrupted is a mystery to me as well, but it could be because regret is a relatively mild emotion. Guilt would have been something else, but I don't think regret is as dark an emotion as Anders' hatred. It could also be that the spirit had been near Wynne long enough to adjust to her temperament, or that it was a much stronger spirit than Justice is/was.
As Wynne is strong in faith and her beliefs, the spirit and her might have been more compatible. Anders was never
that interested in the concept of justice or fairness in Awakening beyond how it applied to him, and the clash of conflicting ideals may have excerbated Justice's corruption.
