@Aris Ravenstar I really like the colors. That's some really awesome fanart! :wizard:

In terms of game mechanics though, I wonder if we can summon Justice in battle and if so, would he have like different abbilities to Anders? I mean we are talking about two beings sharing one body right? So Anders will have more abilites to offer overall. I wonder if that will affect him later on as you talk to him.

...and I think Anders was manly to me. lol Like with Alistair I felt he was "shy knight in armor" but Anders is more of a "mischivious flirt (and now mysterious) with a sense of humor mage" ? lol <3

As much as I'd love that to be true, I feel like if anyone is the 'plot central character' it'd be either the sibling or Varric (since he's the narrator). I think everyone in some way will have ties to the story, and the decisions you make will affect them, much like how your decisions concerning the urn and the anvil affected certain companions in DA:O. But they seem much keener to talk about the sibling and there seems to be some foreshadowing about 'betrayal' in regards to that.

EDIT: Thanks, panamakira! And thanks to RinjiRenee too, 83

Oh, people would argue that Alistair wasn't plot central, but there was a reason you couldn't get rid of him or kill him. As with Morrigan. Obviously Varric is plot central because he's telling the story, but it will be interesting to see if there is another character (or two) who have similar roles to play.

@Miri, I'm biassed of course because I've been Anders' slave for almost a year, but I agree with you. Someone of devs said mages vs. Chantry conflict will be important because you or Bethany are apostates. And they said in the live chat that some companions will be pissed off by your actions but won't leave because they need something from you. I guess Anders won't leave because he needs Hawke's help in his... whatever he's planning to do with the Chantry.

I certainly hope he's not plot central the way Morrigan was. :? Although the ritual part might be fun, the 'and then I leave and we'll never speak again' part, not so much.

So I've been replaying Awakening, and I just finished Blackmarsh and got Justice. I walk into Vigil's keep and talk to him via the dialogue point in the chest behind him. I tried to find a video clip of this but I couldn't.

Basically, it was omgwtf foreshadowing. There's an option to say to him, "You want vengeance?" and then at the end he mentions how the world is so beautiful, and he wishes he could see it through eyes that are not dead. o.O

Vengeance and justice often walk hand-in-hand. Crime and punishment.

I have seen those clips and other talk and I am still uncertain of Justice. I think he denies he can become corrupted.

Not fun yes, but you gotta honour Morrigan had life. Everyone is not looking for relationship in this world as main priority. And in Witch Hunt you can end the game very romantically by stepping with Morrigan to the unknown. So? The thing with Morrigan is that she was independent woman who took you if you were willing to let she live her life. Who can blame her of that?

By the way now that I have seen in Awakening Leliana was bull****ting me I will chose Morrigan myself for "canon". If I just can.

Edit: Remember too that Morrigan was "apostate" (or "maleficar" if you made of her that). So what choises she and you had? You live as fugitives (word?) and at any time templars can come kill you both or take Morrigan to the damned tower. It made perfect sense for Morrigan to flee right after the Archdemon fight and wait for you to come search for her because she gave you the ring. It was up to you. Loved Morrigan enough and did your best to find her and get answers?

Edit: Wow, Morrigan was actually spectacular. She looked for and found a whole new world for you to live, and she waited for you to chose what you do.

But I play the game to have fun. What the characters want is secondary to my own desires. :innocent:

I'd feel kind of betrayed if I got that ending, honestly. I feel bad for people who romanced Morrigan. My Dalish warden didn't fare much better with Alistair. I found Zevran a lot less attractive than Alistair, but his ending was way more satisfying to me. If being a 'plot character' LI means no happy ever after, then I'd just as soon prefer that Anders isn't one. That's just my opinion, though. I'm like a little kid when it comes to endings, I want everything to work out in the end.

Personally, I want the demon removed, Anders redeemed, and then after Hawke starts la revolution the two of them can go into hiding to evade Cassandra, living out their days in Chantry-free bliss. Perhaps on an island. That they own. Tanned and rested and alone, surrounded by enormous piles of money. [/cheesy Tangled reference]

I really liked how they flipped it around actually - they took the typical prettyboy LI that most girls would go after (Alistair) and made plenty of ways for the romance with him to fail. Then they took the promiscuous character that looked like he'd never settle down (Zev) and made him the one who's more likely to stick with you. Granted it sucked for Alistair fans, but to me it was interesting.

Then again I dislike Alistair so I'm biased.

Hopefully if Anders is an LI, he won't get a depressing ending. Call me sappy, but I like my favourite characters to have happy endings.

My Hawke will learn to live with both of them. I like Justice, don't want him to go. I was sad because in the end of Awakening he leaves anyway. I could've never guessed he would inhabit Anders. Anders loved his freedom so much... I'm curious to know how Justice convinced Anders to let him in. I'm sure it wasn't easy.

An excellent story and picture you have made. You should publish them here too.

I have no idea how Justice has been able to convince Anders. Or the only way I could think is that Justice manages to talk Anders to become active on chantry problem and then Anders choses to dedicate himself for the effort with the help of Justice.

Edit: I am myself suspicious of Justice and see him being manipulative on Anders in Awakening. I still see him more as a desire demon than spirit of justice lol.

Edit: Though not saying it would be bad. Anders was lacking some right spirit at least in Awakening :)

Oh, dear. You do know that David Gaider doesn't believe in happily ever after, right?  He may not be writing Anders, but he is the Lead Writer.

Hey! This is BioWare. Not Blizzard entertainment. Thanks the Maker! For example without chantry/mage issue I would had been quite -_- in Origins saying looks cool but where is the content.

Edit: And would had never posted a single post here.

@moilami, thank you. I'm making them like a broodmother makes genlocks, so if I start to post everything, I'll inundate the poor thread. I'm trying to control it.

@Ambeth, wasn't David Gaider also the one who wrote the happy-happy ending with Zevran?

edit: oh, wait. Suddenly it hit me that Anders is a Grey Warden and he will have to leave to his Calling even if he won't be killed by templars.

Funny you say so since just yesterday I did Broodmother quest in Awakening and while watching the cinematics I so very much hoped they make an MMORPG of this.

Now will have to continue observe Justice/Anders and hope to see more of Darkspawn cultural evolution while thinking that analogy you made :)

Mmm. VERY interesting development. Makes me more keen to romance Fenris. BUT ONLY AFTER I'M DONE WITH ANDERS. And that could take a long, long time ;)

Ok, I missed something important.  What development?  Link please! :)

I think Miri means the video up that has Fenris talking, I only just now found it on the DA Wiki. I'm like 99% sure that's Baltheir's (FFXII) voice. It's almost the exact same.

I noticed in that most of the Anders-focused banters with Justice, the spirit keeps telling Anders that he should fight to free other mages from their oppressors. In the last conversation (I think), Justice tells him that it's not right to abandon the other mages, and Anders says something like that's how the world works. He sounds quite depressed about it though. I wonder if Anders was too reluctant to try anything on his own, and after a great deal of nagging from Justice, and then an offer of help, Anders might have finally decided to do something.

Isabela was a shoe-in for a romance, the others are not so clear... probably on purpose. Oh, the agony of not knowing.
