I loved my houses in Oblivion. Totally had one in every city :). And I agree - although I suspect Anders' "house" will be that hospital like place you first meet him - so we might want to invite him over to ours for any intimate moments.

Funny, the way he's more haggard and doesn't have his earring - in his character codex it says he "likes fine things and takes great care in his appearance". A bit sad to think that his thirst for justice has changed him that much :(. Or maybe he just doesn't have the cash any more?

Maybe that's just where Justice had to draw the line, appearance-wise.  ;)

Right now every time I think of "Justice + Anders", I am reminded of this Lord of the Rings fanfiction (not mine), where Boromir ends up stuck in Legolas's body.  (I recommend reading the whole series; it's unbelievably hilarious crack fic).  Lines that this are so far keeping me from taking Janders as seriously as the situation undoubtedly warrants:

"Legolas and Boromir attempted to give each other suspicious looks, which involved Legolas going cross-eyed in a very amusing fashion."

"Aragorn was treated to the strange sight of someone trying to hit themselves and stop themselves at the same time.  The hand trying to hit Legolas in the jaw succeeded and both voices simultaneouslt went "Oww"."

I'll drop it here as well because I'm shameless and because I think a demon as a romance option is adorable:

Gala, I can only encourage your shamelessness because it yields such awesome things.

I'm kind of skeptical about Anders this time around, I loved him in Awakening due to his free spirited and glib attitude. But then again, we don't know EXACTLY how he will be personality wise. He could be cold, struggling within or maybe alternate between personalities.

Hm, I really hope there could be some way to help him out with Justice. Maybe find some way to removed him if at all possible, or allow him to take over? That would make for an interesting companions quest, no?

Undead Nutcase *shiver* wow - if there's an option to completely suppress Anders that would be pretty chilling. Especially since Justice (the old Justice) definitely says that's something he'd never do - at least not with a living host.

OMG there are just too many ways this can end badly for Anders *chews fist*

Chilling yes, very interesting? Very much yes. And as you said, the old Justice. The new Justice may not cling to such morals. I'm very curious to see what they will do with this to be honest, though I'm skeptical at the same time. I'm gonna partly miss the old Anders.

He he he... When I look at all the pictures I want to draw him, too...

I will start right now XD

(I have no idea how long his hair is... so I will just draw what I want :P I mean, it seems like his appearance has changed - besides the glowing eyes XD - but I haven't seen a picture of him that shows whether he still has his earring, how long his hair is and so on. Am I just too blind to find it? o_o")

Anders was (apart from Alistair) my favourite character, so I was absolutely enthusiastic when it was confirmed that he would be back :D It's just too bad that Isabella is the most important character... She seems to be, at least. I hope she's not THAT important... I don't like characters like her - they often are so much alike... I can't explain. XD)

Argh... I want to play DA 2 right now T_T

@Crotti There's a video of the new Anders here

@Undead Nutcase Hepler (who wrote him this time around) has assured us that he's still the same old snarky Anders most of the time, just has a big blind spot where one thing (she doesn't say what, but I'm guessing The Chantry and The Circle) is concerned.

@Crotti: I know what you mean about hoping Isabela is not a pivotal character, and even moreso about how similar characters like that seem after a while. I swear, if she calls my Marian Hawke "Kitten" even once, she'll get murder-knifed.

Back on topic, Galagraphia, I absolutely love your work, and that drawing especially. Love the sad face...

You know, as scruffy as he looks in the refugee area, I just keep watching that video, and thinking...

"Damn, that man has some fine taste in footwear."

Also, since most of the models are the same for each race and gender, do you guys have any preconceived ideas of how tall he is or his build? I can't help but imagine him as being almost a head above Mr. Hawke, probably because he towered over my City Elf in Awakening.

I noticed that Isabela seemed a bit shorter than Lady Hawke in the livestream, so there may be some flexibility for companion stature.

I always liked to think of him being taller than average, if only because the Warden he's with in my fic is 5'8"/5'9". Despite the built arms and chests that the Chasind and Tevinter style robes give male mages, I can't see him being that buff. However, his concept art is throwing me off a little because he seems pretty solid, so I could be completely wrong.

Same here. I think my Anders fangirlism has reached the point of no return. You know, when your character finally sees them in-game and you as the player actually stop playing because you're flailing your hands about and squealing like you've won the publisher's clearing house?

Yeah, just like that. I am pathetic. Sigh.

Hi, guys. I got a bit of timeline question. It is said Hawk/Hawkette and his family took about a year to reach Kirwall from Lothering, before they meet Anders. But that's about the time during the course of the Origin. So when our hero meet him in DAII, he and Justice shouldn't even gone to the Vigil at all.

If that's the case, how did they ended up in the Vigil and how come they did not recognise each other in the Blackmarsh?

If Anders was in Kirwall after the Awakening....is that means Hawk/Hawkette took more than a year to reach Kirkwall?

With how allegedly proficient Anders is at knocking boots, he'd better be wearing some nice ones. They are quite stylish, though. ;)

I honestly don't notice character height unless it's significant, like racial differences. It seems most humans are all the same height.

@SgtElias: Oh yeah, I'm going to be doing that. And right after he says his line about threatening his sanctuary, there's going to be a long pause in the conversation where everything goes quiet and all the characters revert to their idle animations while I agonize over the choicest first words for FemHawke to say to him. ::lame::

@tankgirly: Maybe we don't meet up with Anders the minute we get into Kirkwall. Or maybe he's not in Kirkwall, and we meet him after having been there for a little while and explore further?

Question is also when can we recruit Anders as well?  Immediately after the 1 year time skip or will it be a bit later but before the second time skip?

Thank you :D

@berelinde:  Good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks this way ^_^  When I saw that "I win because I cheat, kitten." setence, I only thought "Oh, great. I just hope she won't be a second Morrigan - the only way you can make her shut up because she doesn't want you to help others is to leave her at camp."

@leggywillow:  Definitively. It already bugged me that he wasn't when I played Awakening. <_<

@SgtElias:  Exactly what I do XD  And I keep talking about him and Alistair to my best friend, even though she has never played the game - and isn't interested at all "xD

Lol, I just drew Ser Pounce-a-lot xD  He looks a bit... creepy? Anyway, I didn't take care xD
In case you want to see it: http://i213.photobuc...serkillalot.jpg
I will do my best when drawing Anders, however xD.

Supposedly he's one of the first companions you can recruit.
When the beginning of recruiting happens, no clue.

My own mental timeline is that Lothering was wiped out a year after Ostagar and another year after that the Archdemon was slain. Six months later, Awakening begins, and takes place over another six months. That's three years from your Warden's recruitment to the death of the Mother, the last two years of which comprise the beginning of Hawke's story.

If Anders leaves Vigil's Keep shortly after the events of Awakening, I suppose we'll meet him about two years into the DA2 story, after meeting Varric and before meeting Isabela and Fenris. I can believe they'd want to leave a bit of time between companions so you're not overwhelmed with them. A ten year story with most estimates being around the 50 hour playtime mark, that's only five hours per year. It's still relatively soon, but you wouldn't have all the companions immediately at your disposal, similar to how you got Zevran, Wynne and Oghren a little later in DA:O.
