Same here. I think my Anders fangirlism has reached the point of no return. You know, when your character finally sees them in-game and you as the player actually stop playing because you're flailing your hands about and squealing like you've won the publisher's clearing house?

I do exactly what you just described.  Get to a great part in a book?  Flail and squeak.  When we meet him in DA2 I'm probably going to be excited and do just that >.>

Even if Origins took one year instead of two, it would still be about 18 months from the Blight destroying Lothering to the death of the Mother, meaning the earliest Anders would be available is around the end of your second year as Hawke.

I just had a horrible, depressing thought. A lot of people are saying maybe Sebastian is an LI, there seem to be hints that you can flirt with him. What if he's a DLC LI created to make up for the fact that girls couldn't romance a human in DA2? Please tell me I'm paranoid.

EDIT: Nice art, Ruse! I think maybe he's got more layers on because it's colder in Kirkwall? That's my theory, anyway.

Flirting doesn't necessarily mean a full fledge romance.

I'm... rather surprised at the amount of people that do not think he will be an LI because of his predicament. I thought, if anything, the issue he has now would cause even more a reason for him to be a LI.
Epic dramas ensue.

Personally, I don't think his 'condition' would in any way detract from the possibility of romance, but I think I've been letting the speculation get to me. I always tend to believe the worst.

Oh, me too.  I'm a pretty pessimistic person.  But us fangirls like making ourselves upset over silly things.

@Aris I'm staying away from the forum, except this thread, because the amount of emotional investment people are putting in this whole romance issue is getting to me. I hope they do make an announcement on V-day, if only to stop the speculation and little nasty jabs people are giving. I'm naturally going to be absolutely devastated if Anders isn't, but I'd rather know than not.

Aris I hope you're just paranoid but I have been thinking all along that there's a good chance Anders won't be romancable because of his predicament. Now with your theory for the dlc that makes a lot of sense. We haven't had a romancable dwarf yet and I'm thinking that it's something they might do and there is no way Fenris won't be a LI. Also Jennifer helper's comment on Anders being too caught up to focus on anything else supports this a bit.

I really do hope you're paranoid but I have a sneaking suspicIon you may be right.

Haha I got right in the middle of that, still licking my wounds... Really, there isn't a point to it, but it's really insane how much of a fan one can really become.  Really, in the end, there is nothing we can do until the devs mention it.  We can still ♥ Anders no matter what.

I'm not doubting at all that Anders is a LI. I think FemHawke will get some Anders and Fenris action, but none with Varric. Heck, Varric may even be a LI and not Fenris, but I know that Anders is a given.

Exactly. I'm also basing it on that there's always a human male LI in a Bioware game that gives you an option to romance characters.

 @Rinji it shouldn't bother us, any way, because we can't change it! He'll be whatever he will be I can lust after him from afar even if my fem!Hawke can't do it up close.

You know, even if I'm relegated to the friend zone with Anders, I can cope. I managed in Awakening, after all. He's still brimming with personality and style, and if he's even remotely like his DA:O self, I'll be happy with BFF status. Cracking jokes, killing Templars, cooing over kitties, encouraging the hilarity of Isabela's flirting only for her to get shot down by Justice... I'll have fun either way, you know?
