Hey guys. Maybe taking stuff we say seriously on an online forum is a bad idea? This is online stuff, and while some people are keen to be sensitive, its just words on a wall.



Continuing this conversation publicly is just gonna make stuff more sour. If anything, it sounds like a misunderstanding between everyone.

I'm hoping that they took Anders' popularity after Awakening into account. They may not care, but they would have to expect a backlash if they put him into another game where he can't be romanced.

This is pretty much my thinking, too. Yet I don't wanna get too excited.

I wonder if Bethany will question him on what the Circle is like. As she's an apostate already I can see him just confirming her opinion of them, so that's one thing they have in common, but I wonder if her views would coincide with his on what should be done about it.

If they had added companion romances to DA2, I would totally support an Anders/Bethany romance, if only so I could play the overprotective brother or sister role.

I also wonder if Fenris and Aveline will get along, as they both seem to be rather tougher, more physical members of the party. Having them spar would be fun!

I don't know much about Bethany's personality, but I'd think she and Anders would hit it off. All he has to do is take one look at her.

I'll be kind of interested to see if there really is a love triangle with your sibling. Should Anders be an LI, I intend to romance him my second game as well (provided it doesn't end in heartache I will never want to repeat), in which I will be playing a rogue. The second time will obviously be a rivalry-romance. Bethany being interested in him too might spice things up a little. Plus I heard one review that said she was a little boring, so maybe if I make her my love rival it'll make the relationship more interesting...

I thought I'd actually heard that companions wouldn't romance one another, but I can't be sure. Rumors, they are a-flyin'.

As for L.I.'s I really really hope Anders is one , I liked him in Awakening. I squee'd when we got to give him the kitty . Gotta love a man that's a softie for cats!

I've been following along casually and only have two observations.

The signature is a joke, but it's not funny.   That's just my opinion though .  

Dave hasn't been doing anything other than be a contrarian in a fanorgy thread.  Which, in threads of that kind that take themselves much more seriously than they would ever admit to themselves, let alone outsiders - is basically a death sentence.

I'd say taking sigs that seriously, enough to feel the need to say it's disturbing while people are obviously just having fun, is taking things way too seriously as well.

Possibly.  My personal level of care is somewhere below "groan" and above "sigh."   Granted, that's my default state when reading the BSN.  I can't speak for Dave.

I don't know!!!! I just know Anders does some crazy stuff to Templars that involve one of his friends. What that means no idea. I'm hoping somebody who understands it better can explain!

And you have to remember that once a warden, always a warden. He's tainted already, wether he's in Ferelden or not but I have no idea what happened to have him freak out and leave the Grey Warden. Aghh so many questions!!

According to the GI article,

*spoilers*







Anders offered to trade a map of the Deep Roads to Hawke if Hawke would help find another mage who was a friend of Anders. When you find the other mage, he/she has been made Tranquil by the Templars (or something like that) and Anders has a freak out and spirit posession and whatnot. I believe they also said he has left the Grey Wardens.
The previous part is also when Anders brings up his posession to Hawke.
