:( I don't know!!!! I just know Anders does some crazy stuff to Templars that involve one of his friends. What that means no idea. I'm hoping somebody who understands it better can explain! :pinched:

And you have to remember that once a warden, always a warden. He's tainted already, wether he's in Ferelden or not but I have no idea what happened to have him freak out and leave the Grey Warden. Aghh so many questions!!

It sounds to me like Anders got word that his friend was taken by the Templars, but when he went to rescue him, it turned out to be a trap for Anders. If this is the case, then the Templars must not consider Anders under the Grey Warden jurisdiction. I don't know if that means he isn't a Warden, or simply is no longer considered one because he left the order and as they don't know about the Joining process, they assume that means he isn't one of them anymore...

I love how people who don't like a character go INTO the thread of that character and post how they hate him/her. O_o

If there were two threads this counter-argument would make sense.  You know, a Pro-Anders thread and an Anti-Anders thread, for example.  But there's only one Anders thread, for discussion about Anders.  This is where all comments concerning the character specifically are supposed to go.  Even the negative ones.

Try watching it while listening to uptempo music.  It's distracting.

This isn't really fair. Some of us agreed with you. I hope you don't paint all Anders fans with the same broad brush just because some people are being childish. :?

They are.  In the sense you're describing, anyway.

Good ! I liked that the characters always have a good story behind them. It makes them almost real in a sense.

Hmph.  I'm still peeved that the Ron Swanson avatar disappeared.  i always enjoyed seeing that one, to a ludicrous degree.

Anders's friend could be a trap for Anders.  After all, Rylock and the templars in Awakening didn't seem to care too much that he was a Grey Warden, and he was traveling around with the Warden Commander of Ferelden at the time.

Well I remember in Awakenings, in the beginning when you want to make him a GW, the Templars freak out because of all the times he has rebeled against them. My guess is Anders was always under scrutiny and decided to just call it quits with the GW and take Justice with him and do something about the chantry.

Maybe he's upset that the Templars never considered him as part of the GW but an apostate that needed to be dealt with but was out of their reach because of the Warden's protection but once he left, well..... :?

So will we be able to import our Awakening save file? or only from Origins?

And since Anders will be in DA2 it would make sense to bump into Nathaniel as well since he mentioned that he was in kirkwall.

I took it down, and have been trying to get people to move on. So...I'm being childish?

My personal level of care is somewhere below "groan" and above "sigh."   Granted, that's my default state when reading the BSN. I can't speak for Dave.

I take myself as seriously as the guy that has a signature of his fanclub.

Others aren't stopping, though. I tried to stay out of the thread after everybody was like "Let's get it back on Anders" but 3-4 posts keep coming in. You want it to stop, I can respect that.

Me, too! Plus, I could read his post in Ron ****ing Swanson voice and it added a whole 'nother layer of awesome.

I'm thinking that he's definitely being tracked by the Chantry. I always thought Rylock was a crazy fringe loony, but if she was told that she had the authority to override the Wardens AND the crown, then Anders was truly a marked man. If the Chantry wanted to make a point that NOBODY was above their laws, then capturing and dealing with Anders would send a pretty pointed message to the Wardens, at least.

Haha, ironically, I was just telling some people that I wouldn't care if someone mentions that. Nor should anyone.

And I'll leave it at that.

@Briiel It does. I always felt Anders was hiding something, and I think he had plenty of inner struggles before Justice/ Vengeance got inside him...

Edit: lol that sounded better in my head~

His ending says he returns to the GWs and ever after were his permanent companions. But that could mean Grey Wardens elsewhere...I took a screenshot.

I think I've really been on the forums too often. Before Anders was announced I just assumed that if the rumors were true and he was a companion, that he'd just obviously be a romance.

Then about ten minutes ago I was minding my own business and playing Awakening (last run-through before all seven of my characters are ready to go for Dragon Age 2!) and this random, horrifying realization lit through my mind like witch-fire:

WHAT IF ANDERS ISN'T A LOVE INTEREST?

I swear to gods, I am so neurotic. I never worried about this before, and all of a sudden, in the last ten minutes, my mind has decided it's a big deal, and OMGOMGOMGOMGWHATWILLIDO!???!!11!

Sigh. And though I know that by coming back here for comfort I'm just feeding my neurosis, I can't seem to help myself.

I love thee, Anders thread. Sanity be damned.

Edited to say: Sorry, this was posted in the middle of what everyone else was talking about, so I apologize for disrupting the flow of conversation.

Okay, crack theory time: Anders had to quit the Grey Wardens because he joined with Justice, and in return Justice, whether intentionally or as a consequence of the bonding, removed the taint inside of him. When the Wardens found out, Anders was forced to leave because he wasn't technically one of them anymore.

I may simply be trying to come up with a theory that makes it so Anders doesn't have to die at 50 in the Deep Roads... >_> <_<

@SgtElias I'm gonna **** so much if he's not a LI. I know it's not a biggie and I do care more for the rest of the game, but that will be the icing in my Dragon Age cake. Anders as a LI!!! (and Fenris).
