@Page My mum was a university lecturer. I KNOW YOUR PAIN. You'd definitely need some Anders' healing magic after going through that for any length of time.

It seems that the Templars DID use the tranquil friend for a trap for Anders. I'm wondering now, REALLY wondering, if Rylock wasn't just being a total crazy when she was after Anders in Awakenings. Does he KNOW something? Or are they just tracking him because he's an apostate? It's too intriguing!

I always wondered how Rylock could have known about the dead Templars inside the keep when we meet her and Alistair or Anora outside as they arrive. So was he a-killin' Templars before he arrived at Vigil's Keep in the first place?

@Miri: And I'm on staff at a university. You want cynicism? That level of bureaucracy will do it. :) (I accidentally typed "bureaucrazy" first, which would... pretty much suit, come to think of it.)

But university students are awesome enough to balance it out, no?

I think she probably assumed he killed them, since they are obviously not there and he's free.

Proof? She's a Templar, she doesn't need proof when dealing with an apostate.
She might have been saying that to add emphasis on how dangerous he is, in front of the Monarch.

Not to belittle Anders, but I hope it's not just him. Unless they're trying to make an example out of him, in which case I DO hope it's just him.

That probably only made sense to me.

I sort of assumed that Rylock was a tad insane, too, but I wonder more and more.

This is all SO feeding the fire of my Mage Revolution aspiritions.

Considering how many times Anders escaped, then I can see why the Templars would become obsessed with dealing with him and making and example out of him.

And / or she could have been really convinced that Anders murdered the Templars escorting him.

@KnightofPhoenix (re: your comment to me): ....sorry, but no. ;)

@Miri: You have NO IDEA how much I wish I had Anders around to soothe some of the stress these days. You know how I wrote that one scene in AMWT where he's pretty much a walking headache cure? Pure wish fulfillment, right there.....

There may be some spoilers in regards to Anders here, not too much, but it is in another language with Google translate. Here.

Trying to understand it through translate, it sounds like the templars used his friend to set a trap for Anders, meaning they're still after him. Does this mean he's no longer a Grey Warden?

I was wondering...sorry if it has been already mentioned but...what if Anders dies in the epilogue? Does the taint go away? If not maybe the presence of a spirit/demon neutralizes the taint - which is a darkspawn presence in ones body, right?

I just *hope* he doesn't have to end in the Deep Roads with him wanting freedom so badly

I am very interested to meet templars. I hope Anders is too.

Sorry to say this, in case you don't want to hear it, but Justice was not very eager to let his previous body go.

I very much doubt Anders would let Justice share his body without a damn good reason. Boy LIKES his freedom.

I know, I know. *sheepish* I think when I read about it for the first time my idealism took over and decided that of course Anders would help his friend! Because they're just both so wonderful! We help each other, right guys? We help each other! <3

I teach preschool. I'm sorry, I just can't help it sometimes. ^_^

I seem to recall a banter where Anders specifically makes the offer, actually.  But I might be misremembering.

Please don't encourage my mindless idealism. It's absolutely disgusting and far too frequent. ;)

Hm, I'm curious about one thing about Justice&Anders: are they like 2 guys in one head or it's like one person who has a strong desire he must supress to keep acting like he usually does? This all is becasue of the video where Anders "greets" Hawke. He speaks like Justice, not like Anders. But he says "I have made...", not "we", not "he" and we all know Justice is not a healer. If Justice is a Vengeance now, he wouldn't care about sick children, he would rather turn Anders into a batman, I think (oh, lol, hi, Garrus! Stop calibrating that cat and look at me, please!). So I think the idea of the hospital came from Anders. And if Anders made the "sanctum of healing", then why Justice says it was him? Maybe because they don't identify themselves as 2 different personalities anymore? That would be... you know, mean to fangirls like me who were like: "Alistair dumped me, Zev is in Antiva, Leli loves Chantry more than me... O, hi, mr. Handsome Mage! Give me my romance without complications and heartbreaking stories of your past!"
Of course I will -> see my signature -> but I'd hoped (and based on that my doodles, comics and such stuff) that they know where one person and where the other. It would be fun. But if they are merged it's kind of tragical. For example, Baroness and Flemeth are/were like that, they were possessed at first, but than their personalities sort of blended and they'd became one with the demons.
(ooh, I like grim speculations!)

Edit, because I enjoy making silly gifs:

I think Vengeance would say I instead of 'we' because he probably wouldn't want to draw all that much attention to the fact that Anders has a spirit living in him. I think it probably will be some kind of 'two people in one body' thing. I was playing through Redcliffe yesterday, and chose the option to kill Connor, and I noticed how Connor can act/ look as himself, look as himself/act as demon, and look as demon/act as demon. I wonder if it will be something similar for Anders, with Vengeance coming through sometimes. He probably saw the arrival of Hawke & co as a threat and decided to try and take control.
Also, lovely pic. Wish I was artistic Posted Image

I think it works that Justice has a presence in Anders' mind but only manifests himself when either Anders wants him to or when he sees something that makes him assume control.

Nice gif by the way.

Anders has a really big chance for being a Li cause the femHawke has only Fenris.

Well, if they are separated, then Anders can be freed from Vengeance, I think. Though I hope for something... unusual. Spirit healer should have a spirit, you know ;) I would prefer good old Justice, he was funny :) And think of the potential for jokes... mmm. Too much fun, I don't want to get rid of Justice completely.

Besides, Anders was kind of lonely, and now he has a friend wherever he goes. Isn't it great? :D The angry friend who loves to kill templars...

Hawke and Anders finish the joining quest, Vengeance assumes direct control and kills everybody. Anders comes back, shrugs and says:

"Um, I didn't do it!"

So guys, I'm one of those abominations who hasn't played Awakenings yet. If you were in my position, would you play it before DA2 comes out, or would you wait and play it after? I don't know if I want to have an image in mind of Anders before I play DA2 or not, in case that image is different to what I start to like.

@catabuca, I would definitely play it. Because it's an awesome addition to the story of your Warden and because your choices in Awakening (and DLCs GoA and WH) will have an impact on DAII world too. And because of... well, Anders :)

I think you'd be able to understand the position Anders & Justice are in (and how it's changed them) better if you played Awakening first. Posted Image

@Gala & @Really - I think you're right. Especially the part about understanding Anders and Justice. Yep, I'll dig out my copy and load it up.

The only question now is which game do I import? I've got 2 save games I consider my favourites: the first was my first ever game - m!Cousland, rogue, put Alistair on the throne to serve alone, Loghain dead, did dark ritual, lived happily ever after with Zevran, was morally good. The second is f!Cousland, rogue again, ruled as queen (or consort) with Alistair, Loghain dead again, did dark ritual, pretty much followed a morally good path.

Since I probably won't play through Awakenings twice now before 2 comes out, I have to pick the one I fancy the idea of importing to DA2 the most.

I hate making decisions XD

@catabuca, which one do you like better? If you start with f!Cousland you will have more approval from Anders and he'll tell your PC how awesome and lovely she is :) But, you know, in a friendly way, no cheating on Alistair XD
